I've done a search but I can't find the post, so sorry if it's around here somewhere....
I'm sure in the past there was a discussion about fitting wall sockets for speakers, and there were recommended audio quality sockets to use if you wanted to bury wiring in the walls.
I'm looking for good quality connections obviously, but I'm beginning to doubt that I need to spend silly money on cabling after trying different cables at home.
Can anyone give me any pointers please?
I was after a solution where I could bury my Speaker cable in conduit and terminate the cables with a socket.
That way when I need to change my cables in the future I don't have to redecorate the room. Obviously, having a Plug & Socket type arrangement makes it easy for taking the speakers down from the wall.
The only thing that I thought of was some of those low amperage lamp sockets, but I too was unsure about the connection quality.
letsautomate.com have banana plugged plates on their website. Often you'll find XLR style connectors used for this sort of thing too (but not of letsautomate's pages ... maybe cpc will have something)?
