I think that it might do quite well.

If the production values are as good as recent hits like Jeepers Creepers, Darkness Falls etc then it stands a good chance with 2 estabished horror characters stomping around

Play the full screen version as the other one crashes three quarters the way through.

Edit - A bit too late.

Oh come on!!

Have you no sense of fun ?

I can't wait to see this because it looks incredibly fun and cheesy.

Of course it isn't going to be scary or anything (and of course they will never going to go in this direction anyway) but I can see this being a really good beer and laugh with your mates kinda movie with lots of blood and guts .

I have complete faith in Ronny Yu, the man did great with Bride Of Chucky, another great cheesy horror film.

Of course we'll never see it in the cinema over here or at least not for a looooooong time

it hits the cinema in the US end of August so it's a little too soon for a R1 release at that point in time...

How sweet-fresh meat!

Can't wait to finally see Freddy on the big screen again, from the test screening word it apparantly delivers the goods

"why won't you die?!"

Well Kain^ has returned from being suspended for being a bad boy...

This actualy looks quite entertaining, rather than that pap Jason X, so many people raved about how good/funny Jason X was, i hated it.

the only good part was the holo-suite sequence...

Kain^

There was another rumor going round that there was word that they were going to do a prequel to Elm Street. Showing Freddy as a child killer and then end the film with the parents setting him a light. I think this idea does have alot of potential to work and go back to Freddy's roots and have him real scary again. Elm Street' s 4-6 made Freddy a Joke. New Nightmare did him credit only cos Wes Craven did it. Maybe Craven should have been involved with Freddy Vs Jason!

Lets do a poll on who they think will come out victorious in the fight.

Freddy or Jason.

My Money's on Freddy!!!

I am in the Jason camp pretty firmly.

He is mighty, has the most kills of any slasher villain, in fact the only people who have been known to defeat Jason are 80s icons and ridiculous screw job plot devices.

Roll on October, It would be great to see it in a cinema with a football atmosphere, Freddy fans on one side, Jason on the other, cheering and cursing.

No, that would actually be very geeky

Jason all the way. You can keep your long fingernails, machettes rule.

That has already been done in the first episode of Freddy Nightmares. It is coming out on DVD.

Freddy's Nightmares vol 1.

I Know, but on the big screen it hasn't and most people have forgotten about Freddy's Nightmares as most of them were crap.

I'm also in the Elm Street And Friday 13th watching mood now, so I think I will watch Jason X later followed by Elm Street 1.
