Fine, somewhat understandably though he looked battered after 20 minutes.

Went flying in for a tackle as well that drew an almost universal gasp.

He then got straight up and carried on pinging around a few good passes, a couple of great ones and by the 3rd time ****** Mark Randall right off (started a run then stopped just as Randall hit the ball).

Assuming that this injury's not going to reoccur too often and he's still got a bit of pace then it's looking good for him I think

Arshavin didn't look too happy about playing at Barnet though...

Highlight of the match though was one of the 'My garden shed' ****** up Gooners next to me making his way up to the TV gantry and tapping on their shoulders to say hello to the commentator and cameraman

I'll reserve judgement, it's ony his first game after all. He didn't seem to be anything special, but he didn't do too much wrong either. Not to blame for the first goal, Gallas & Djourou should have dealt with it. The whole defence was a bit like headless chickens for the second goal (that was in the second half with our youth team out).

Didn't seem to win as many headers as I would've liked. Still, first game and all that.

And what a surprise conceeding from a setpiece :shakefinger:

Following on from highlight of the game, most dissapointing for me was Conor Henderson - first time I've seen this kid play, and he's sposed to be really rather good, but he was poor yesterday.

Abit more from Wenger just popped up on Newsnow:

However, speaking to the Mail on Sunday, Wenger wished the striker well in his future career but blamed a lack of fan support for his exit.

“We have lost a great player and we wish him well,” said the Gunners boss.

“He's done extremely well for the club. I don't believe that last season he got enough support. That was playing a part in my mind and in his mind, certainly, as well.”

Glad to see Rosciky (will challange myself not to use Rosicknote for fear of cursing him again)!

Hopefully we will start the season with at least the squad we have at the moment, but hopefully at least 2 more (Andre-Pierre Gignac is the lastest young french no-body we've been linked with)

Very, very rare for Wenger to openly admit an interest in a player, buy he's admitted to keeping an eye on Chamakh:

It won't be long before Chelsea report him for tapping up a player then

Most likely it's a bit like the Nasri deal last season, where it was pretty much a done deal, but just depended on the selling club finding a replacement.

True, although I'd like to see whoever comes in play some part in the warm up games.

Hleb admits he was wrong - I could have told him that 12 months ago!

What a chump.

+1 to the Reyes and/or Grass Is Greener queue.

Still, could you imagine being able to choose from Arshavin, Nasri, Cesc, Rosicky, Walcott & Hleb?
