You could be right. I am not sure about the head being metallic in Hong Kong (not Tokyo) but if you look behind Kong at about 2 mins in (after "the myths are real") you can clearly see alien space craft.
Given that Mechagodzilla is actually from space in the original this makes sense!

....and here we go again. The trolls are rating Kong Vs Godzilla 1 star on Rotten Tomatoes because their demanding that Warner Bros give in to their demands and continue the Snyderverse, otherwise they will "boicot" Warner Bros.

I was looking forward to this, but I honestly found it quite boring for most of the running time.
The 'plot' & every human character apart from the little deaf girl were absolutely appalling. I know it's not really what we're watching this type of film for, but is it that hard for professional screenwriters to create remotely convincing characters or storylines that make sense?
Millie Bobby Brown & her little crew were all intensely irritating & I felt genuinely sorry for Kyle Chandler, who only seemed to be there to look confused.
& Alexander Skarsgard needs to hand in his Screen Actor's Guild card for his performance in this. I've seen better acting in the local nativity play.
I did enjoy the titan fights, but even after decades of watching superheroes throwing each other through buildings, I was still thinking about the thousands of people who must have died in the third act rumble.
