Looked at a few vids on youtube; after the 1.04 patch it's supposed to be quite playable on the PS4 Pro now. Heavily cut down from the PC version but playable.

I have seen some bugs in Cyberpunk 2077 but nothing really bad. Yeah, sure V’s hair doesn’t like appearing in the mirror; there are some pop up issues sometimes. You get some draw in issues for smaller objects in particular when you have hacked into a camera and switch to other cameras on the network quickly but it is no big deal. That issue with weapons you put in your stash having no stats is annoying.
I don’t really have any frame rate issues as such, OK now and then and on occasion it pauses while auto saving I think but that it rare. When driving around it seems stable to me but I tend to run around a lot anyway which usually has a solid frame rate as well.
I had a strange issue the other evening. I was in V’s apartment when I decided to start phoning everyone. I was having a video call with somebody and turned around in the apartment and there was somebody just stood there with their arms folded watching me. When the video called ended they just disappeared - it was a bit creepy.
But generally with a game of such size and complexity the issues haven’t been game breaking so far and not out of the ordinary with games in this generation releasing with bugs and day one patches etc.

Instead of doing all the hacking and stealthing, (that might not be a real word) for once I tried one of those police side missions by just running in and swinging a steel pipe and the mission was completed in under 30 seconds.

The developer offered full refunds via PlayStation store .. so I thought I’d try it and see what happens.... Sony refused and said tough wait for fixes!

After a few hours and all the hype, I have to say, the Deus Ex games are much better
this definitely feels style over substance. It’s not half as clever as it thinks it is and the ai is even less clever than that
all this talk of how it will take things forward and it just feels like yet another half arsed RPG. Actually it doesn’t even feel like an RPG, just a poor shooter with over complex levelling
So many of its mechanics are done so much better in so many other games
And so many of the things promised are absent
I’ll leave it until the full next gen version arrives, but I don’t hold hope

Playing this on PC (i5 9600K and a RTX 3060TI). I've put about 40hrs in so far and really enjoying it. The main story is good but I'm hoping they do a no mans sky and add everything that's missing.
The world looks amazing in places but so many things need to be fixed/updated to make it a truly great game.
1) Side missions need to be embedded better into the world. There's little reason to go exploring the map as 100's of new missions just pop up when you drive through an area.
2) Weapons/upgrades need rebalancing (including the inventory/upgrade UI)
3) Sort out the loot system. At the moment I'm just hitting scan and then spamming the pickup button to clear an area of pickups. There's little to no reason for me to selective about what I carry, so I hardly ever read the name of what I've picked up.
4) Police and wanted system needs to be implemented
5) NPC AI needs improving (Especially the vehicle AI)
There's more, but that would be a good start for me.

I think for me it remains, not the glitches and bugs, if a game is “good” you can see through them, but it’s that the game is just not the game I was expecting
All this talk of the next stage of RPG. Things you where going to be able to do. How the missions would work. How there would be so many ways to tackle them and for all the things said, it plays like a very basic 360 game
All of the Deus Ex games do what this wants to do better
This does not feel like an RPG. Very few skill checks.
And some doors can be I opened with strength, some with tech. Well surely at most basic that should be that doors can be opened with either strength or tech rewarding you for building one way over the other without penalising you for not being able to open the door
The AI of the enemies is shocking
The stealth sections feel like something from a ps2 game and just feel broken
The driving whilst welcome when coupled with the mini map results in overshooting nearly every turn as you move faster than the map
It just seems so many other games overcame the limitations that this has and I’m really not sure any patch will ever be able to fix. The game just feels unfinished and not what they said it would be

While I agree this deserves to be compared to the Deus Ex games (and I made this comparison myself) it is also true that the Deus Ex games are on a much smaller scale which allows for all play styles to be fully tested for each situation. The size of Night City makes these comparisons slightly unfair. But I still maintain after mostly playing the NCPD side missions I’ve had literally a dozen to twenty hours stealthing and hacking (the other sort of hacking) my way through them and I’ve enjoyed every minute of seeing them as a tactical problem to solve non-lethally and without being seen.
Some of my stealth/hacking antics I’ve taken on a dozen enemies or more where I had to get creative. Hacking into security cameras, tagging enemies through them, switching to other cameras in the network, distracting some enemies before distracting the one I wanted to neutralise. . . only then disengaging from the camera system to safely grab the enemy to take them out. Other times, I remember one police mission which had loads of enemies who had taken over a market area and I had to use stealth more wisely in a more traditional sneaking around sort of way.
The police wanted system, just like the driving are there to be functional and granted almost all other games do them better but I see them more there for immersion purposes. I only got the pop up for the first time last night explaining the police star / bounty system. The cops will never pursue you in vehicles and vehicles haven’t been the focus of the marketing - while you can drive it is not the focus of this game and if I remember correctly it took them quite far into the marketing campaign to even acknowledge how much freedom you would even have when it came to using vehicles.
I came to the realisation last night that I might have picked the wrong attributes. I want to do stealth, hacking and crafting but all three of those have governing attributes that only have two skills to gain perk points from (although I still have no clue how Cold Blooded works). The point is that Body and Reflexes have three possible skills to gain extra perk points in and you’ll probably need to level one of these up quite a bit to get a sufficient number of those extra perk points from their associated skills to spend on other skills. So it is probably wise to specialise in at least one area of traditional combat.
I think a lot of the controversy surrounding this release smacks of double standards. Surely games like Fallout 76 should have been removed from sale. If this marks a new precedent that gamers will no longer have to accept new games being released in a buggy state, then fine. But has Watchdogs Legion been removed from the PlayStation store. Maybe remove games that have gambling-like loot boxes as well. You see, there are lots of games that get released with the knowledge that they will be patched because will live in a more connected gaming ecosystem. With that said, those who can’t go online have the right to expect a certain level of quality for their money. Can we at least have consistency though.
I haven’t seen bugs yet that warrant removing it from sale but then maybe it really does run better on Xbox than PlayStation. I’ve seen lots of games this generation/last gen’ now I suppose, that have launched with bugs as bad or worse.

Fully agree deus ex was smaller scale and that’s I guess what I wanted cyberpunk to give me, the deus ex experience in a huge sprawling open world
I wanted deus ex with the role play of divinity games
The skill checks with doors, whilst a small thing, sort of sums it up
I could put all my points into strength but not open a door as it needs a tech check. No, it should be possible with either, maybe different levels, but I should be able to smash down a tech based door or tech my way around a very strong door
It just feels “basic” to me. I don’t feel that I am v, which I always put as the main thing for an RPG. If I am that character then I much prefer the game and I just don’t feel like I am v.
There are a lot of walkthroughs I have seen that say “don’t level up, leave your points til you get to a skill check you can’t pass and then level that skill” and whilst obviously that’s an option, I feel if that’s how you can do things you have failed as an RPG

There is stuff that makes absolutely no sense in Cyberpunk 2077 for sure. The armour rating on clothing for example is ludicrous. You end up picking the highest rated armoured gear and either end up looking like a pimp or looking like you shouldn’t have any armour at all - as you wonder why these shorts should have three times the armour rating of some combat pants.

I knew if you did a non lethal takedown of an enemy and then put their unconscious body in a dumpster you get two lots of experience. What I didn’t realise was that you can do a non lethal takedown (experience) and then shoot them in the head or kill them however you want (gain more experience).
Edit: Picked up Skippy yesterday - that sure is one chatty gun.

Big fancy new patch (1.1) released on Friday. Supposed to improve things a bit visually for the consoles like a more consistent frame rate and lots more fixes on the quest side of things.
Been looking at graphics comparison videos on Youtube between the PC\PS4 Pro\Xbox One X. Even at low settings without ray tracing the PC version looks better.
