I liked the 'Dad' section. Brought a lump to the throat.

I liked the Dad section but it went on far too long.

Same. If I had been on the show it would have been a Saab 900. My Dad loved that car and so did I. I thought the key start being positioned in the centre console was the coolest thing ever. It felt so futuristic.

It was a great idea for a show as my better half who couldn't give two ***** about cars normally, got misty eyed thinking about her Grandad's Daimler.

Excellent segment and good episode.

That said, bloody middle class. If I'd been on there it would have been a gold Allegro riddled with rust. The rear wheel sheared off and overtook my dad on the dual carriageway on his way home from work.

We 'upgraded' to a Maestro following that.

I can even remember a number number plate, a white Morris 1100, probably not a lot bigger than a mini. AYG448H, I don't know why I remember it as thats got to be about 1977 ish. We did go on a touring holiday, 5 of us towing a trailer tent with that little thing.

Sad news. She seemed like a lovely, crazy, amazing person.
