The Winnetou Westerns

Fellow Cowpokes,

I've never seen these German oaters that helped inspire the Spaghetti craze. Why haven't they ever been shown on British TV? Is there a site with an in depth breakdown of their qualities and how they compare to their gun-toting rivals?

Are they any good? Amazon.de has several box sets available and I'm wondering if these gaps in my Western film education need filling full of lead.

Shoot!

Yours Gunningly,
Lik

Hi;

You are in luck, I wrote a long article about the genre and the available German DVDs last year: The Karl May Westerns.

There is a thread about it here: http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/s...d.php?t=453578
