Well, went to the Stockport Plaza last night and saw What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, which was as good as ever.
A bit of a mixed crowd in there, with a few strange reactions from the audience to sequences in the film. The picture and sound broke down about 10 minutes before the end, but they managed to get it going again.
The seats weren't the comfiest I've sat on, but I'm still looking forward to the horror double bill in October.

I'm hoping they show The Woman in the Window again as I'll be out of town that weekend.
I've never seen any classics there but I did see Pan's Labyrinth earlier this year with a very attentive packed audience. Didn't really feel like a normal cinema excursion (crying kids and coughing adults not to mention rustling sweet wrappers). It was more like being at home but with a bigger screen, less comfy seats and a hell of a lot of friends round.
Cineworld are showing Casablanca, Guys and Dolls or Oklahoma at various cinemas next Monday (23rd). I've never actually seen the latter so might go and see it there.
Just for those who may be interested, but I'm going to see The Seventh Seal at The Dukes in Lancaster this coming Friday. Apparently it's on Saturday evening as well.
