I should love this but it just feels unbelievable simple, like a fan made it, sure it looks good but the depth is terrible. We are two episodes in and not bothering to give anyone a single bit of characterisation. Were this 21, 45 minute episodes I'd be fine with it as we'd get there but I get a horrible feeling we are jumping from one Star Wars OT set piece to another and after the crazy short episode run and episode length we'll be left with a huge amount of questions and minimal answers.

I came here to find this exact post. You spot on the show is so simple without any dept. I feel if this wasn’t Star Wars wouldn’t be getting this praise. Sure it looks good but that’s it.

Pretty much summing up my feelings on this so far. Nothing has impressed me apart from the visuals.
The whole chase sequence was so embarrassing I was laughing out loud how bad it was

Regarding that sequence I could not help but think of Indiana Jones and the last crusade.

Would have said sequence not been much better had he had his where is his ****** they all had them in the Clone Wars Show, so did Jango and Boba
Regards the director of this episode Rick Famuyiwa no sci-fi or fantasy credits, just drama how do they pick these people?
Deborah Chow has fantasy and such credits looking forward to her episode
Taika Waititi has an episode so his should be fun
Dave Filoni has two episode and he's cut his teeth on clone wars already
Bryce Dallas Howard wtf no directing experience in sci fi action or fantasy

I would imagine if he ever had a *******
He has lost it along with his armour, which he may never have had any in the first place as I think he may have been a which could mean which be Ironic seeing we’ve not seen a true one so far in live action as

Totally agree and the music that came with that scene was off as well.
Apart from that very enjoyable.
Baby Yoda just gets cuter....

Yup great until then.
I get what they were going for but those scenes all felt a bit flat and as you say cringy.

I'm enjoying this - it's certainly one of the better products of the Star Wars universe.

Whereas I fonud ep 3 weaker as fouond it more confusing following the thread. The end scene obviously implies the council came around to his way of thinking.
