Yeah, don't get that. Compared to the Matsuaku challenge, Pogba at least is in the same postcode as the ball, but clips Bellerin's heal after which he takes a further couple of steps and goes to ground - Clearly a penalty.

Not sure what Matsuaku is actually trying to do though, he just kicks Salah on the back of the foot, there's no way he can get to the ball without going through him so not sure how anyone can argue it wasn't a foul Just because Salah puts the kicked foot down and then goes to ground does not negate the foul - it's kicking the player that is a foul not knocking them over. The fall is just really to make the ref make a decision, but it's really no different to Bellerin just that one was running and the other wasn't. If the officials will not give a penalty if the attacker stays on his feet then why should they not fall?

Clearly played like a team who knew they could afford to lose past night but, even so, some players still didn't cover themselves in glory.

Two thousand fans to be allowed back in from next week. Not sure whether the club will think the extra costs involved will make it worthwhile for such a small number. And funny that no one is moaning about the integrity of the competition being tarnished by this rule change ( even though some clubs will now be get more income and home fans in grounds ) than others. Must have just really been an "anything to stop the scousers winning the title" last season then

Sounds more trouble than it's worth especially as you can go up and down the tiers, so how would you sell tickets considering the following day they can get banned?

RIP Gerard.

Will never forget that treble winning year of 2001 or the reaction of the Kop on his return to the dugout after the open heart surgery

RIP. He had a good spell in charge at Liverpool.
Just reading his obituary, I didn't know he spent a year as a teaching assistant in Liverpool in 1969.

Yeah. Apparently, he even pointed out in his interview (or first day) where he used to stand on the Kop during that time.
