Really? Obviously its better to finish as high as possible, but there will be a lack of edge. If you don't win the league it doesn't matter where you finish as far as I'm concerned. The only other consideration is CL, and spurs have qualified and Utd wont through the league, so what's at stake, nothing.

Id be surprised if we demolished them but should be a great occasion. Has been a great season for us and I think it will be very tough at Wembley next year. We havent played well in Europe there and big pitches seem to be tougher for us. I would guess its down to the pressing style and the energy required. We will have to adapt and hopefully he buys in a bit more pace to stretch teams in the final third.

Don't really understand why being in a European competition next season is so much more important than finishing as high as possible in the league this season. If we had strong track record of winning euro competitions recently then I'd understand.
For me, finishing second is very important.

Saw the Wembley pitch mentioned before. Why can't you simply change the dimensions to suit?

To any of the current Top 6 clubs I don't think they care if they finish 2nd or 3rd.
If you don't win the league then the next step is finishing at least 4th with an argument for finishing at least 3rd.

Wouldn't finishing second and giving United a stuffing show some sort of improvement on last season, where Spurs sort of faded towards the end. I'd also guess there is about Ł2m in prize money per position nowadays.
Changing dimensions is interesting, I've seen teams do it before and it looks a little weird, but they just cut some yards off the sides, probably easier to make the pitch smaller generally?

Nice to finish the last WHL season unbeaten and 17 wins out of 19. That's impressive. Best home season since the sixties.
Got some digging at work for the loss to West Ham last week but let's face it, what a season it's been - head and shoulders above all but Chelsea - and they DID deserve the title, they were clearly the better team over 38 games. Compared to what we had to put up with, even in the post-PL era...
Just a shame relegation beckons next year. Thanks Wembley!

I'm amazed they made such a big deal of the last game. You're only moving a matter of yards!

Could have been the moon! Still the last game in the old stadium which is getting demolished. Im wondering if we will be bang at it tonight now 2nd is confirmed.
Seems like Poch has been saying we cant compete for the best players due to wages and it has to be a concern in keeping our best players if we maintain a cap.
Apparently Wembley has to stay at its dimensions of 105 * 68, WHL was only 100. Saw somewhere the difference was 440 m2 but that seems like a lot. I hope im wrong but expect struggle next year even if we keep all our players

It's nothing - 5 m longer and 1m wider - if the 440m2 is correct.

But you've got the 2nd most expensive central defender in the world (probably)? So shouldn't be a problem.

Good, convincing win today. Wasn't too worried about Everton away but had potential banana skin status.
Kane off the mark given it's September.
Now please win at Wembley....

Any Spurs fan know what the away allocation is for League games at Wembley? And whereabouts the away seats are?
EDIT: Seems it is 3000 in blocks 112 - 117

Wembley curse seems to be properly dead and buried now. Huge statement after a flat weekend performance.
...kiss of death! 10 mins to hold out...

Was at the match today (wearing my Man Utd boxer shorts), really good performance from Spurs. Cracking atmosphere.
