Anyone with issues since the channel updates? Always had decent signal but has been poor over the past week, with break up and loss of signal. Wasting my time here trying to watch the snooker.

No problems here Douglas. Though I hate the fact I can't number the channels myself - very restrictive.

Cheers - seems to have settled down. Now of a mind to think it was a - coincidental - cat-related issue. (One has taken to occasionally sitting on the box and nosing around the back of the telly so I re-connected the cables and seem to have been OK since.)

Do Sky still have the policy where if you cancel you can't sign back up at the same address as a 'new customer' within X months ? Or can you now cancel and get someone else at the same address to sign up straight away?

I'm cancelling Sky TV this summer once the contract ends as we never watch anything but the terrestrial channels.
I can't seem to find a straight answer about the Sky+HD box. Once the contract ends, if want to record any Freeview channels, Do I still have to pay sky around £10 a month?

Had the email yesterday saying the bills going up but today I had a 2nd email telling me the phone/net is going up, we only changed to Sky less than 2 months ago! That can’t be right, I thought it was locked for 18 months!?

Pretty sure you still have to pay them £10 a month to be able record if you cancel.

Anyone moved house with Sky, do they do a good job or is it a pain? I hope i don't have to start a new contract as i wasn't rid of Sports.
In fact i only really want, Atlantic, History and Nat Geo. Let me guess they're split across various packages?

They're all included in the Sky Entertainment pack, one up from the bottom.

We’ve decided to ditch Sky again. Our family’s viewing habits have just changed so much over the last 18 months or so that we can really cover all our needs with a freeview receiver and the various apps on Apple TV (or iPad which can be airplayed to the TV). A NowTV entertainment pass at peanuts per month finishes things off. Just can’t justify a couple of Sky Q boxes any more.

Have to admit my kids seem to like watching Roku and rarely bother with anything that couldn't be got on iplayer. In all honesty we'd probably miss all the Sooty episodes we have recorded and an appearance by me on TV (which I have saved on computer).
If they don't keep rolling over my £10 deal i'll cancel as I do find the recording function useful. However my box must be ancient now so might cancel on that basis.

We're currently on a rolling contract, but have moved recently.
Need to get our bill down as dont need sports anymore but wouldn't mind a Sky Q box, or is there not much difference to a Sky + HD box? I would be only interested in the Sky Q 1TB rather than forking out even more.
Going to go down the route of recently moved re-done finances, only want this dont want sports and see what they say.

I don’t think it offers anything over a normal box that I’d miss. I can’t go back though, because of the changes they make to the dish lnbs.
I’ll be binning sky - deal has ran out and I’m moving later this year, to somewhere I won’t need sky. Just need to ring and give notice - I have their broadband so I’ll keep that. Might keep the basic package - haven’t decided. Like a lot of folk, I don’t really watch enough to justify it anymore.

I never understood that Sky were pushing one of the big benefits of Q as being you could record x number of things while watching y number live. That would have been an amazing product 10 years ago, but pretty much everything is on demand these days.
I picked up a Manhattan tuner and its got a much nicer EPG than I remember on some of the tuners from years ago which used to be one of the big downsides.

On Demand requires an internet connection. IIRC Sky's record X whilst watching y does not.

Don't seem to be having any luck with getting a SkyQ box off them without having to pay 200quid.
Their 'offer' is to give me a 2TB for 13 pound a month not having to be the 200 quid, terrible offer.
If i was to sign up new i'd get one for 20quid.
I'll ring again and see, i'm happy with the monthly cost i just want them to throw in a box that has reliable internet connection.

I got one for £20 as a VIP member of a few years. Though it could just have been included in the recent full package offer. If you've been with them for a while could be worth checking that.
