You can get proper boxing for £19.95.
This freak show should be on the Disney channel

So all the sports channels on Now TV for £33.99 a month, no option to pick and choose. Has anyone tried now tv recently to give an idea of the picture quality? They're still chucking out 720 as far as I can see, not sure how well that will display on a 60" Tv.
We move in a month and my lady sky sub ended so I want to wait until we move before I decide who to go with for the footie, but thinking a one month sports pass should see me through until then. I missed that recent one day free pass offer because my wife was giving birth.... Very inconvenient of her!

Hi guys
We've moved and I'm looking at options for TV. We have broadband with BT (in a contract) and I had TV with Sky at our old address but cancelled it back in May. I'd like to get the Sky Q basic with Sky Sports, which they're advertising for new customers as being £42 a month, but as I'm an existing, albeit expired, customer it won't let me do it online, and I'm thinking that if I ring them and give my new address they'll not give me the same offer. Does anyone know if this price is the same for existing and lapsed custsomers? Or should I look at putting it in my wife's name as a new customer? A bit more hassle to do that as I still have BT Sport linked to the old sky HD box (BT said it wasn't worth cancelling it on Sky as it'll affect the price I pay for it on the mobile app).
Thanks

Give them a ring and see what they say? They're normally just as likely to try and get you back and match the deal

Not been able to get through all weekend as phones so busy, but on a chat now. So they do Sky Q plus Sports for £42 a month for 18 months, but the only way to get those sports in HD is to get the boxsets pack with then bumps it up to £67. Seems utterly dumb.... I don't want boxsets, I only want sports in HD. Way to not get a customer....

The Official Sky HD Thread and FAQ
It’s because people who care about sport in HD are usually willing to pay for it.
If you want Sky Sports cheap go for a NowTV monthly pass. You get 720p on the NowTV branded Roku boxes. Unless you have a massive screen it’s pretty close quality. Plus half price voucher codes are easy to pick up on eBay for a pound or so.
You don’t get the red button streams but they now include Sky Sports Mix in the sports pack.
Even cheaper share the NowTV account with a friend. It’s 4 devices with 2 concurrent streams. However you should note that a tablet or phone app plus Chromecasting counts as 2 devices.

Get a Tablet with HDMI out to stop that problem. I know Sky Go doesnt work with HDMI but havent tried NowTV.

I've been using now tv for it since we moved, first two months £29 a month, but it goes back up to the full price next week. I've been sharing it with my step dad so it's definitely cheaper, but I find the picture quality average on my 60" tv (via ps4). Better than out on a sky dish in SD but far from what I'd like. Had anyone seen footie on ps4 and a now tv box to be able to give a quality comparison?
I don't think they should be charging any extra for any hd channels these days, surely most people have at least basic level hd tv s these days

I was cancelling my £20 basic bundle, I said just cancel it then clicked on this link
https://secure.sky.com/promotions/of...1/secure-offer
Which offered me 50% off, but you need to have cancelled to make it work

Either a SkyQ update or Sonos update has broken sound intermittently for me. So frustrating and near on impossible to debug.

Any idea when Sky Q will bring back the rather useful 'bookmark' function?

It took two hours on an online chat (patient guy at the other end)plus calls to two departments for another hour, but I managed to get the whole package without movies (ie sports, boxsets, variety, Sky Go and HD) for £35.75 a month with a £25 credit on the account and free installation (with my existing box), plus it's not time fixed so in theory I could cancel at any time with a month's notice.

I use NowTV as well, mostly as it works out at £3 a month and I share it with my Dad and In laws. Hence I'm not massively bothered if I have it or not, it's probably worth £10 a month to me to save me the hassle of a freeview equivalent of Sky+

I was sharing it with my step-dad, but the sports are much more expensive at £34 a month. He'll have to make do with Sky Go on his ipad instead of NowTV on his big telly now!

No he has an LG TV that has a Now TV app. I didn't think Sky Go worked on any devices other than iOS and Android mobile devices?

Sky Go should work on Xboxes and Playstations although I think it is called "TV from Sky" on these.

It’s really easy mate - you can get a Xbox 360 for £30 and access sky go through that - my dad does this, seems easy to use!
