Just dug out the flyer.
Sky Q multiscreen 2TB box, box sets, cinema, sports, sky fibre max (60mb unlimited) - £90 for 18 months. ("From £79.95 upfront.) "Save over £827.
There's a lot of small print but just a number to call.

Looks like Sky are doing a similar fibre offer to BT now. For TV customers the Fibre Max, which is fully unlimited, is £35 p/m including line rental.

I have Sky fibre and was wondering if it is worth upgrading to Fibre Max and getting the Sky Q hub even thought I don't have Q. Any thoughts?

Nothing is showing up in the Online Video section on my newly installed Sky Q. Is this a common issue? Is it an Internet issue?

Had Sky Q installed this morning, just rang to cancel!
Can't believe they sold my a 1TB box plus 2 mini boxes and didn't tell me you can only watch on 1 mini box at a time
When I rang just then, they said it's in the T&Cs, if they told me when ordering I probably would have upgraded.
Hopefully they will call back before the engineers come and collect the boxes.

A quick question guys. I've cancelled my Sky sub and it ends tomorrow. Will I still be able to watch the freeview and freeview HD channels on it or do I need to get a freeview card from Sky?
It's a normal Sky HD box. I know the PVR won't work but I want to know I'll be able to get ITV1 HD for the England Scotland match.
Thanks

I believe your old Skycard should work for that but I could be wrong.

yes, the main 5 HD channels will work
essentially you'll have "freesat from sky" - http://www.sky.com/shop/freesat/home/

Right how does adding and removing packages work and does it start you off on a new 18 month contract?
For example don’t really want Sports anymore.
So i ring up and i can just remove that package from my bill, i stop getting the channels and my monthly cost goes down?
If in 6 months i want it again i just add like a normal package? However, i would have to have that package for 18months is that correct?

With Sports you can add/remove it month by month without it affecting your overall contract length. Removing it is subject a 31 day notice period and that's it.
That was one of the things that ****** me off with BT. They force you to have their sports under a 12 month contract whereas Sky dont.

Yeah, but when I got sky a year ago I got a deal of all packages (sports, movies, family, HD, etc), plus box sets and Sky Go for £30 a month for 12 months. The 12 months was coming up and it would go up to £80 a month. We're moving in a few months so I'll get a new contract in my wife's name when we move....!

They'll probably try and offer you a cut price for either, or they'll just cancel.

Sky will be getting rid of their existing Sports package and introduce new dedicated channels for each sport.
https://www.theguardian.com/media/20...l-golf-cricket
It'll be interesting to see how much each channel is and how much of a reduction removing them will be.

That seems to be the same that the Daily Mail reported a few months ago, I haven't heard anything about a price rise this year but would not be the least bit surprised if someone that wanted all the sports would end up paying more than what they do presently. I think the Mail mentioned there would be two for football, one for the Premier League (and perhaps a few others) and one for the football league etc..
