Even as a Star Wars fan I think there pretty naff! The fact they cost an extra fiver as well doesn't help.

What is currently the lowest pack I can go to that will keep me the high def bbc channels etc along with keeping ability to record and also ability to watch sky sports news ?
I thinking may be far easier go back to a humax freesat box or even tv internal tuner and get rid sky. Only sky channel I watch is sky sports news and bt sport via sky

You'd get HD BBC on the basic £20 package, you get 11 free to air HD ones, I can't seem to get it to tell you on the website.

The Official Sky HD Thread and FAQ
It used to be £10 a month to keep Sky+ recordings, not sure if that's gone up since, BBC HD is free and I think SSN is still free, if you have BT BB then you should have BT Sports too.

That's my issue. Actually knowing what to ask to downgrade to.
The website is nigh on impossible to work out and speaking to someone gets nowhere.
I just want the high def free to air channels and ideally sky sports news
I'd move back to the humax box but currently have bt sports free as have bt Internet and if not want loose that

I think I may forgoe watching fletch and savage and one football match and go back to humax and also dismiss idea of sky sports.

I downgraded from the Variety to Original bundle and still get SSN in HD. Though I do also have the HD pack so maybe that's why.

Well i've gone and done it, i've downgraded to the Original bundle and we'll go from there, if i think thats pap i'll get rid of the lot.
Sports, movies, HD, 2nd box etc etc all go on the 24th of March.
Money paid to Sky halved in one swift call, still kept the broadband, i quite like that, better than BT.
So kids, remember its 31 days notice to cancel or downgrade.

Went to order Sky Q - only for Broadband customers. Which is intensely irritating because I can't have Sky Broadband, and have 660Mb down and 330Mb up.

You'll get it eventually.
I thought about it, but in the end decided £150 for a new interface and one less box wasn't the best use of my money.

Just done the cancel dance. No offers on the phone, but the Sky Service app said 50% off when i logged in to get the last PDF bill. So phoned then and cut it down to £51.75
I pay for a multiroom box, and then it's a fiver or thereabouts for HD.
Happy for now. We have EE fibre broadband so can't upgrade to Sky Q right now even if we wanted to

That and the fact there is no way to transfer recordings from existing equipment have stopped me considering it.

Same offer popped up for me just after calling to cancel my TV package (keeping the phone and broadband).
They'll have to do better than that though as I'm not really fussed about keeping it.

Called Sky to give notice last week and best offer so far is 10% off so going to look at Virgin Media, obviously not keen to keep me as a customer!
