help me wade through this minefield :(

I don't want a new phone
I just want a cheap monthly contract!!
But it seems so hard to find something....

I rarely make calls, just texts, and think that the o2 simplicity at £15 might be the best option of a sim only deal.

Are there any better options around?

orange have just launched sim only tarrifs too which are basically the normal tarrifs minus £10 for not having a phone.... so for example you can get 100 min, 300 txt and unlimmited off peak texts and one orange magic number for £15.00 and not contract lenght just a rolling 30 day argrement which you can cancel at anytime

If you rarely make calls why not just do PAYG? Or do you text heavily?

If your with Virgin Media - The £10/mth sim only offer is excellent

300 mins anytime & 300 texts per month that both roll over

I do text a lot.

I think, from looking at the various sites, that I'll stay with o2, moving onto the simplicity thing with 400 texts and 200 minutes for £15 and a monthly contract.

bizzare, i get 200 texts and 200 mins with 02 for £30 12 months, yet the new deal is more texts and more data for half the price. way to go 02, the phones are hardly worth £15 times 12 (ie £180)

Or just go PAYG and go onto T-Mobile's text appeal package - 3p per text, I think.
