Good 320KBS MP3 to VBR MP3 Conversion Program - Any Recommendations?

When I initially ripped my CD collection I ripped at 320KBS/Dual Stereo, but I have run out of room on my iPod.

I've been thinking about converting them to VBR, but at the moment I have to convert them back to WAV files and then grab them to VBR using Audiograbber and Lameenc.

Can someone point me in the direction of a tool that will do this in batches?

Pretty sure www.dbpoweramp.com does this. Download and give it a try, it's a great program.

dBpowerAMP looks like it will easier become my new encoder and I especially like the multiple codecs it supports. They'll definately be getting $14 of my money.

Really appreciate the nudge in the right direction.

Yep, it's a great app, and the one I use to rip my CDs to mp3.

No probs. Yeah, also good as a ripper since the AccurateRip feature/database lets you ensure your setup rips 100% accurately.

If you have an iPod, you're using iTunes, is that right? In the preferences, you can change the import rate in the custom area to vbr. Then when you select the song you want to change the bit rate of, right click on them and you'll see 'convert selection to (mp3)'. iTunes will then convert the songs and you can delete the original 320kbs file.
