HDMI - daft question
Does HDMI autoswitch in the same way as SCART, e.g. if you switched/played something on a DVD player would your TV switch to that device?

Not in my experience no, you have to manually turn your tv/panel to HDMI

Nope - not to my TV or projector, in fact I have to turn on the DVD player last so the Projector can detect it. Damn HDCP...

Excellent! Currently negotiating with my wife about home cinema upgrade - probably projector first, but HD DVD is extremely high up the list. Where did you buy your player from?

It has something to do with what version of HDMI software and connector your hardware has. Autoswitching was added at a latter stage and they seem to be refining it all the time which is a real pain as they should have just added all the useful features at the start and let everyone have the same connection.
