Prison Break Starts Ch5 Monday 23rd (Rpt'd 24th 11:00pm)
This starts monday, it's been discussed in other threads but they're full of spoilers, looks good, According to TV guide 24 episodes
Quote:
Synopsis from official site
MICHAEL SCOFIELD (Wentworth Miller) is a desperate man in a desperate situation. His brother, LINCOLN BURROWS (Dominic Purcell), is on death row and scheduled to die in a few months for an assassination Michael is convinced Lincoln did not commit. With no other options and time winding down, Michael held up a bank to get himself incarcerated alongside his brother in Fox River State Penitentiary. Once he's inside, Michael - a structural engineer with the blueprints for the prison - begins to execute an elaborate plan to break out Lincoln and prove him innocent of this sensational murder.

Let's hope the adverts breaks are placed better than on Invasion.
Breaks Totally ruin the tension on some shows.
can't wait to watch this series again though - lol by the time its back on in the states the UK will nearly have caught up!
heads up Supernatural is on ITV1 next Monday as well.
woohoo - I have a feeling that these TV Supremo's come on here to gauge public reactions to TV shows. Feel the force

They've used the same EPG description for the premiere on Monday as the repeat on Tuesday.

If it's that good why aren't Channel Four, SkyOne or BBC2 showing it....? Did C5 pay a lot of money to show this or is it a simple case of C5 showing programmes the rest of the channels don't want?

I'm sure Channel 5 picked this up as a gamble that it was going to be a hit.
and somewhere in the murky midsts Five is in bed with Sky.
I'm really gutted that the Beeb does not pick up these serials anymore from a no advert perspective. The original 24 shown on the beeb was great

More a case of it being of 'unknown quality' when negotiations were underway I expect. The show is fantastic.
It's all a bit pot luck with first seasons and Sky have been stung enough times ie Jake 2.0 and Threshold. No-one would pay big money for either of those two if they'd actually seem a few episodes

Because Five have better taste than the others? CSI, The Shield, House, Boomtown, Law & Order...
Five still seems to have this stigma surrounding it that it's not a quality channel, but over the past couple of years it's **** on most other channels from a great height when it comes to handling of American imports.

probably good that this is the case, as each episode of a season would be shown only once at a stupid hour and moved around (Medium)
at least the satellite/cable channels repeat these shows about 4 times in a week so we can all set our recorders and not miss anything

If this has murder, rape, drug use, etc. Then I'm going to love this! I love gritty/hard hitty prison programmes and loved OZ.
I've been after some prison documentaries for some time now but this might be just the thing!
Is there a trailer for this and when can you get it on DVD in the US?

I wouldn't say better taste; CSI, The Shield, House, Boomtown and Law & Order are average at best imo. I can't think of any stand out series on Five that really sticks in my mind that's a must see.
However I will watch the first episode Prison Break because it's a new series.

I wouldn't call it "gritty/hard hitty" but it's certainly on the line casting a passing glance in that area.

Bump for tonight.
Saw 1st episode last year and was unimpressed by it. Prison dramas seem tame compared to Oz. But will give this another go as peeps on here seem impressed by it all
