Not janet gribble and Nicholas lyndhurst (my girl and me). But she was short and dark i think??
What was the premise of the show, just their relationship? did they work? Where set? who else was characters?

'Loved By You' with John Gordon Sinclair perhaps?. Made in 1997 and the UK version of 'Mad About You. Trevyn McDowell played the wife.

Catherine it was called 'The Two Of Us' with Janet Dibley.
Perhaps you're thinking of 'Me and My Girl' which starred Richard O'Sullivan and Joanne Ridley as a father and daughter.

The only other programme with a newlywed plot that I can think of is 'Rings On Their Fingers' but that was late 70's and Diane Keen had dark hair IIRC.

Have a look through
Now, not knowing your taste in birds, could it be As Time goes By with Judy dench as a blonde newliewed, i know she is old, but still looks good?
ORRRRRRRRRRRRRR May to december? old bloke falls for young bird? Lesly dunlop was the 2nd actress to play the part of young bird.

It wasn't very good Catherine, the only thing I remember was JGS's character having a dream sequence with Caprice dressed in stockings and suspenders, 'Mad About You' had Christie Brinkley :norty: for that scene.

Wasnt rings on their fingers the one with Liza Goddard and Martin Jarvis?
Edit- Nope- It Diane Keen as stated. Just checked.
What about that Liza Goddard programme, where they worked at an advertising agency or something?

What about '3 Up, 2 Down' with Lysette Anthony (mmmmmmm)? They were a couple in a flat with his dad and her mum living below (I think). Michael Elphick was the scruffy dad and the joke was he fancied the posh tottie mum but she supposedly didn't fancy him (but did really, just could never admit it).
