Giant R2 - anamorphic?

Early reports on the HTF indicate the upcoming 2 disc R1 edition of James Dean�s Giant is non-anamorphic 1.66:1. Even so it apparently represents a big step up from the anamorphic Canadian disc that was briefly available but I just wondered if the R2 (billed as a 3! disc Sp Ed) would be getting an anamorphic transfer. Anyone know?

Answering my own question, Play have updated their listing to show that it is anamorphic after all. Interestingly DVDFile�s review of the R1 disc indicates this too is 16x9:

There seems to be total confusion on this. People who have bought it say it is non-anamorphic. Does DVDFile know the difference!!

Peeps on HTF seem to be saying it�s non anamorphic. Wonder if the R2 will be different?
