Just watched the BU Cat 'O Nine Tails, for once Arrow may be able to improve on it. It looks really odd to me, very digital and not film-like despite it being sharp and colourful and it having medium level grain intact. I'd really like to see it on a large monitor or projector, I can't quite describe what looks wrong with it (to my eyes). Some reviews have been great though, so what do I know?
It'll be interesting to see if any edition of The Beyond can beat Arrow's re-authored version. It really is noticeably improved over the first pressing, with nice inky blacks and well encoded grain.

Shame, though, about the EE, which made it virtually unwatchable, I found. Though there are some lovely moments, there are random scenes which just look awful and artificial.
Great news Arrow have announced they have found good enough prints for Blu-rays of Demons 1+2. Just hope they dont screw them up with too much DNR and EE. Well be released in the new year along with the previously announced (but delayed) DVD releases.
