as we seem to get a discussion up in the TV forum whenever a PPV is about to be shown we thought it'd be neat to get a proper thread going, hopefully encouraging other people to get into the sport.
MMA = Mixed Martial Arts, made popular by UFC. over the last few years since its takeover, UFC has strived to become recognised as a mainstream sport and rightly so. rather than the "freakshow" it was labeled as in its early years, its become a great competition between fighters of all categories, and to me and many others is a lot more exciting than a standard boxing match.
