Also I miss the overall story, while desmond was plank of wood, there was overall story linking all the history. Now its adventure in eg Viking times which no real link apart from some waffle about "another piece of eden" and nothing happens aka the crap they have in Origins onwards.

Anyone know a way to sort your installed games by whether they're still on game pass or not? Seem to have ones I've installed that are no longer on game pass but no idea til you try load

Haven't seen a Game Pass filter, but the game tiles in Games & Apps (not the guide) have a Game Pass logo on them when they're part of Game Pass, so should be easy to spot them. For example, Rocket League came out of Game Pass a few weeks ago and no longer has the logo on its tile.

I think that's only when they're pinned?
Actually maybe it's because I need to enlarge the tiles... Will take a look
It displays the game type on the tiles in the default games section for all tile sizes. For example, I always use the small tiles and it shows the Game Pass, EA Play and X|S logos on the relevant games.
The thing I don't like about the Series X Games & Apps section, is there's no console type filter for X Enhanced games, which would be useful, as the Series X plays these games. Meanwhile, over on the One X, it has X Enhanced and Optimised for Series X|S filter options. The latter being pretty useless on the One X.

Loving Dragon Quest XI so far. The Forge you use to create gear and weapons is so addictive and far better than simply throwing ingredients in a pot and running around for a bit like in DQ VIII.
Here are a few tips for the game if you are just starting out with the game or the series.
1. Have more than one manual save file. Get into the habit of saving two or three times. If your party gets wiped out your most recent save will lose half your gold. This leads to tip 2.
2. Use banks in towns. You can deposit in 1K increments and this safeguards you from losing loads of hard earned cash.
3. Search everywhere for treasure chests, pots that can be picked up and smashed (items inside), bookshelves to read (Forge recipes) or wells to climb down.
4. Leading on from 3, if you press Start and choose Erik’s nose for treasure he will tell you how many treasures are left in that area.
5. From the map screen you can view where all the ‘sparkly spots’ are on the map so that you can easily gather resources for the Forge.
6. Keep an eye out for enemies that sparkle because once they are defeated you can take control of them giving you new abilities such as jumping to high spots to get to treasure chests or flying across water to reach other areas.
7. The Fun sized Forge is your best friend. You will need recipes to make weapons, armour and accessories but you can forge gear with better stats. Each time you create something you will gain Perfectionist Pearls and you want to have a healthy supply of these.
8. Use perfectionist pearls in the Forge to enhance almost any gear you have to up to +3 which will increase its stats. You can even buy ingredients, make gear and sell it and the better the +rating the more you can earn.
I have lots of other tips but that should get you started.

So revisiting this, if a game is no longer on game pass there's no way to know that you can't play it. No game pass logo or anything and just looks like any other game. Kinda frustrating

The only other Game Pass games I've got on my console are still in Game Pass, so can't see what happens yet when they're not.
Rocket League was made free-to-play when it left Game Pass, so I claimed it anyway.
wanted to start a new RPG while Cyberpunk gets 17 more patches, Went for greedfall over dragon quest. Its typical "eurojank" game buts its quite good RPG
