Warners 2-pack bargain classics coming October 12

Warners are issuing a whole slew of classics in 2-packs on October 12, some titles quite recently released, some not released yet! They're already on pre-order at dvdvpacific.com at $18.49 plus postage and amazon.ca at $27.24 CAD plus postage, but it will be interesting to see what they come up at dvdsoon:

If you haven't already got it, it might be worth checking out whether the Casablanca/Maltese Falcon includes the 2 disc SE of the former (though I doubt it...)

Will these be the existing releases bundled together or new re-packages containing 2 discs? I expect things like 'Casablanca' will either be the old single disc (of which there must be lots still kicking around!) or disc 1 of the newer 2 disc version? I'm guessing this is just a way of clearing lots of old stock!?

Not a clue, but my best guess is that they'll simply be existing discs strapped together (like the recent Image two discers).

Ah! like Warners did with 'Gremlins/Gremlins 2' (wrapped a paper 'great value' tag around the existing dvds and re-sealed!)

I bet a couple of famous bitches are spinning in their graves at the thought of 'Now Voyager & Mildred Pierce' being bound togther!
