DS recommendations

Before I sell on my DS I thought I'd give it one last chance so I'm looking for some recommendations. I already have:

GTA: Chinatown Wars
Professor Layton...
Mario
Mario Kart
Civ: Rev

Are there any other gems I should be looking at, or are there really only a few titles worth spending any time on?

I assume Mario is New Super Mario Bros?

Others I enjoyed:

Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
The Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney series
Sonic Rush (thought Sonic Rush Adventure was pap but not sure why)
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Advance Wars: Dual Strike

Forgot I've got Sonic Rush (and Adventure - it is pap!), Castlevania and Advance Wars.

Will see if I can pick up the other two cheaply.

Mine's currently got the old GBA cart of "Alien Hominid" and and the DS "Meteos" (not disney) in. I particularly love Alien Hominid. Meteos is mental!

Ones that looked good when I saw them on the Bargain Forums (but I've not played yet) include:

Ninja Gaiden - Dragon Sword
Lego Indiana Jones

I'd agree that Zelda's good ... if you like Zelda games that is.

Metacritic might be of some assistance in narrowing down your search ...

Zelda is one of the best games, but if you don't like that sort of game it won't do much for you.

Same goes for Chrono Trigger and The World Ends With You. Both highly regarded but marmite games really.

Definitely give the Phoenix Wright games a go. Don't jump ahead with the sequels, they're good but you definitely benefit from playing them in order. The first is the best ("Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney") anyway, though I'm not sure of its availability. You might need to buy it second hand or get from the US.

Haven't really played many of the other adventure games but they never review well, usually too easy and just point and click stories really.

Oh, also Metroid Prime: Hunters if you like FPS games. That's very good, and if you like that there's Moon out here soon too which is very impressive.

lots of good ones already mentioned. if you wanted to try something a bit different i'd highly recommend these, but do some research first as they won't be for everyone:

Ouendan or Elite Beat Agents

Whilst it has its flaws and is a bit of a lazy product, PicPic has probably had more gameplay out of me than any other DS game.

Forgot about N+, that's great too but pretty shortlived. Ought, what level did you get stuck on, was it the one with all the suspended inertia blocks that you have to climb up? Couldn't do that until I watched a youtube video on how to do it in 5 seconds

Another vote for space invaders extreme here. Top stuff!

If you're into the history of games retro games challenge is top stuff.

Final Fantasy IV

Henry Hatsworth is supposed to be the awesome but haven't played it myself.

What type of games do you like?

All I've read about Henry Hatsworth suggests it's an original concept but a completely below average game

Henry Hatsworth just frustrated me. The puzzle game was much more intresting than the platform game but you have to keep playing the platformy bits.
