Twin Peaks - Season 3 - Premiere May 21st 2017, 9pm.

The Complete Series is now finally out in the UK.

The Pilot aired on the 8th April 1990 - 20 years ago.

I can't believe it's been that long.

I still long for another TV series to come along to top it, but nothing has to date.

There will be a great book coming out this year called Northwest Passage. A Photo book complied by Paula K. Shimatsu-U. who was the Unit Publicist and assistant to Mark Frost during production and will contain hundreds of unseen production photos. http://purelypaula.com/book/

A great up to date site of Twin Peaks locations today is here: http://www.intwinpeaks.com/2008/02/locations.html

Twin Peaks Archive also keeps a regular blog going on all things Peaks
http://twinpeaksarchive.blogspot.com/ - Get your 4 free unreleased tracks here for today (8th April - US time) only.

Sherilyn Fenn recently wrote a great blog about the day she got the job of Audrey Horne.

Does the box include the pilot? Shame it doesn't include Fire Walk With Me. There's an interview with the main peeps in Empire this month which touches on them all going back to Twin Peaks for a one-off special, even Lynch seems up for it :\.

Yes - Pilot in the box - both the US transmitted version and the European version with the 'fake' ending.

Does anyone else think that this release hints that they might be doing a Blu-Ray release?

Maybe they are trying to sell as many DVD sets before the Blu-Ray comes out?

I've still not seen this series. I bought some of them on VHS but only got as far as halfway through season 1.

I watched it in bits an pieces when I was younger, i liked it then but was too young too appreciate it.

I watched it properly in 2006 and loved it but couldn't help being angry it got cancelled. With Lynch brining back his involvement at the end of Season 2, Season 3 would have been great i'm sure!

I still haven't seen the second half of season 2. Picked up the German part 1 when it came out and never got around to part 2. I'm pretty sure the German part released are OOP now and I don't really want to buy the full seasons just to see them end.

Fantastic show though. Last few episodes I saw were incredibly intense for network TV.

I got this Gold Box from R1 when it released a couple of years ago, great that it's finally out here!
I can't believe it's been 20 years! WOW! I feel so old suddenly!
Does anyone know the original UK transmission dates? By late spring 1991 we were only a few weeks behind the US as this got me through my GCSEs!
I remember being gutted when they announced on BBC2 that there wouldn't be anymore.

I have the original Radio Times in front of me. - Dug them out last week.

Pilot aired on Tuesday 23rd October 1990 and the repeat of the final episode was on Saturday 22nd June 1991.

It was all over in a flash.

Was made on video though wasn't it? If so not really worth putting out on BR.

I'm pretty sure Twin Peaks was shot on film and edited on video. An HD version could be made, but it would be expensive and I can't see it happening anytime soon. I'd love to see it though. Isnt the movie out soon?

Twin Peaks was shot on 35mm so would look stunning if done right.

I'm pretty sure that HD masters were made when Lynch supervised the transfers for the S1 box all those years ago. Not sure about S2.

What a great show. Easily responsible for the best character i've ever seen on TV (yes, Agent Dale Cooper)

Has Lynch released any of his other stuff in HD? I have a feeling it's something he doesn't want to concern himself with, the guy is always working on something. I could be incredibly wrong.

I have Mulholland Drive on HD-DVD. And I think the Elephant Man is out on BD? Don't know what the quliaty is like.

I'd kill for Blue Velvet and Wild At Heart in HD.

Mulholland came out the last couple of weeks of HD-DVD so not many copies are out there- hence it can be quite pricey.

It's a good disc though.

I think Inland Empire is due on BD next month, although as that was shot on SD digital video I'm not sure what benefit we are going to see on that one- give or take a slightly higher bit rate.

Nice, in the process of downloading these. But bloody RapidShare is a pain...

Despite having the R1 Gold Box I'm still considering picking up the Season 2 boxed set. I have the R1 and R2 Season 1 sets... and I think I have the pilot on an Asian DVD somewhere.

I wonder how much the R1 S2 set is going for these days

Rapidshare will let you download 2 tracks and then tell you your limit is up.
Just wait 30 mins and it resets. Then you can grab the other 2.
