The End of the ******* World

Just binge watched this on All 4, knowing next to nothing about it beforehand. An 8 parter of 20 minute episodes, so lent itself to watching a few at a time, and it was an unexpected joy with barely a wasted line or scene and 2 great leads. I hesitate to recommend stuff as we all have different tastes, but if you try it you won't have wasted a lot of time.

The Auto censor doesn't like any way I type the title!

I recorded the first ep then found out that the rest were only going to be available on All4, so it got deleted, can't put up with all those un-skippable ads.

Yes, it grates, but I found the series worth putting up with them.

Thought the leads were outstanding. I did think it seemed to lose a little something in the last few episodes though.

For all those who don’t like all4 it’s on Netflix.
Four episodes in and still not really sure what to make of it

Hope its better than 'Hard Sun' which was an 'oh no the Sun's going to blow up!' tale of woe and lawlessness... but more painful to watch.

It's nothing to do with the actual end of the world....

More of a Teenage road trip.

I'm up to episode 7, it's really good.

Just finished and absolutely loved this. A genuinely emotional story of two people who do not fit into this world, but are able to find a connection. Not all that hilarious for a comedy, but definitely some really funny moments. The cinematography is gorgeous, too, especially for a British production.

A bunch of it was shot in and around my hometown, so there were some familiar sights!

I saw the first 10 minutes of the first episode and switched it off - not sure why I didn't like it, perhaps I though because neither of the leads were particularly likeable. Judging by the comments here, maybe I should give it another go...

Just crashed through this on my commute this week, I thought it was brilliant. Great characters throughout, pretty dark at times but full of black humour. Great stuff.

Hmmm, must have been watching a different show - got through 3 episodes on the strength of opinions on this forum, but couldn't make it any further. Hated it!
