My stocks went up by 15% in nearly a year since cashing in my premium bonds. Good return, better than premium bonds would have been for the past year? Who knows.

A good month for us this time; I had 6 emails in my inbox this morning.

5 x £25 and 1 x £100

Running total for the year - 19 x £25 and 1 x £100 (£575), just over 1% on our investment approx.

Nothing last month but £25 this month. I took £2k out to have a new bathroom fitted so dropped the investment a bit.

2 x £25 this month and an unexpected returned investment as we have reached the limit. I had thought that it was an error at first before learning about the Premium Bond limit.

Any suggestions on a similar scheme where we can continue to invest or is it just worth starting a new Premium Bond account in my Wife's name?

Does anyone invest in the Family BS Windfall Bond?

Can't think of anything like it, so you can stick another lot in the wife's name definitely.

The windfall bond doesn't seem that great, you'd be better putting it in that new Marcus bank for 1.5% interest (paid monthly) and buying scratchcards with the interest payment if you really like to gamble. Unless you've got £1000 a year interest each.
