Although referenced in the film, apparently were not going to see the events of Rogue One from the cartoons perspective.

Surely it'll have to end like Rogue One, linking directly to the start of the next chapter in the franchise. I'm thinking

Not as excited as when I saw the trailer for the 3rd season (mainly due to Thrawn's apperance) but still looks good. X wings, references to R1, loads more star destroyers etc.
When does it start?

But is it 2 eps followed by a 4 month wait or the full series?

Really like this show.. tried to give clone wars ago, but its many seasons and you cannot polish a turd (the downfall of Anakin).

Rebels has been consistently good, started a bit too much for the young, but its developed into a good show with likable characters. Really like the designs based on the original Ralph McQuarrie, Star Wars 70s designs.

Yeah the later series have been really good, it wasn't sure of its audience in series one (though I think it forgot with the helicopter jedi). I'm currently watching Clone Wars, and finding it surprisingly ok. From what I've read, it's important to watch them as it explains what happened between episodes 2 and 3 so it's not quite such a jolt when Anakin suddenly decides to be evil. Plus Lucas didn't direct them so the characters are less wooden than in the films.

So, it's back...

Decent start to the final season, but I hope they're done with the whole Mandalorian thing. It's getting a bit dull.

Sorry - just saw your reply today!

I really tried to give it ago, but just found it a real slog and wasn't enjoying it, so gave up.

Considering this is a cartoon, there is an awful amount of death and destruction. The fate of the Mandalorians in S04 E01 was particulally chilling when you think about it and what you saw in the back ground in the scene. Not that i am complaining!

This is nothing compared to the Clone Wars, its Disney now, Disney don't do death... unless you're Bambi's mother or Mufasa

Oh my God!
Unexpected emotions from Rebels. Gorgeous use of music and visuals, and just the right amount of humour that didn't detract from the drama.

Agreed. If you can wait, then downloading the episode later from Disney XD catch-up gets rid of all that (along with no ad break and full credits that are readable - I often like to see who the guest cast were).
