Same, although there is an awful lot to go for to be fair given the state of it.

There are lots of bugs but this is the most fun I've had in a video game for years.

I played it the other night, landed fairly central, found a pea shooter and energy drink, ran for about 10 minutes to get into the play area, no cars in sight, eventually got there and someone took me out with one shot to the head. It's the most fun I've ever had.

Now that I've worn out everything that the latest COD has to offer, I'm going to give this a go & see if it lives up to the hype.

What's the consensus regarding playing solo or in a team? ... Which is more fun?

Watching random videos on Youtube & most team footage is just nobbin' around having a laugh...

They play very differently. Both are fun.

My advice would be to continually land in larger towns to get into as many fights as possible in order to familiarise yourself with the different guns and the mechanics of the game.

The rest is down you.

Played a couple of hours of single-player over the last couple of evenings & despite the retro-visuals, dodgy frame-rate & clunky controls, the important part, i.e. the gameplay, is awesome fun & totally lives up to the massive hype.

I can't remember the last time a game proved to be so tense & oh so satisfying when you get the (rare for me so far) kill-shot on an unsuspecting player.

And who knew how frightening it can be just cowering in a closed bathroom & listening for the footsteps to fade away or (more likely) the door to burst open in a blaze of gunfire!!

Sound seems to be incredibly important in this game so can someone recommend the best value Dolby-Atmos compatible headset currently available for Xbox?

Thanks in advance!

Stereo headset works fine, just turn the camera to pinpoint the sound.

So what's the deal with the ever decreasing circle/electric wall?

There's been a few times I've not made the deadline to get in the white circle but nothing bad happened to me?

Then last night, I totally messed up & the blue wall caught & overtook me & I expected to die immediately but it still allowed me to run around as normal & I think my health just started to tick down a little? ... Made it to the white circle & everything was fine again.

Most annoying moment during last night's session. Survived dropping onto the military base along with around a dozen others with the same idea. Took too long & had a lengthy distance to the next circle but spotted a guy on a bike, waited for him to dismount & blasted him with shotgun. Stole his bike & outraced the electric wall after a lengthy ride. Crossed into the safety zone, stepped off the bike & immediately was headshot by a sniper! D'OH!

The smaller the circle gets the more damage the outer ring will do to you.

Thanks for that. It was early in the game so the damage was surprisingly small...

I assume the red circles are random no go areas to avoid? On my maiden game, I made the mistake thinking they were danger areas with better loot & resulted in me outrunning random artillery blasts?!?

Need to find a decent Wiki style site that explains all...

Yeah red circles are artillery. You either need to hide inside a building or cross your fingers and leg it.

If you stood in the red circle you'd probably only have a 5% chance of being hit so I wouldn't worry too much running or driving through them.

It's worse when you jump off too early and die from falling, the ultimate **** take death.

Does anyone else think this kill is a bit suspect how his gun instantly snaps to my head with no recoil? Or am I just being bitter?

Not enough there to convict him.

I agree - the replay system is not hugely reliable for discerning anti-recoil. Also he had the Groza which is pretty powerful.

Looking at his stats - doesn't have the profile of a cheater.

Yeah, I couldn't really tell. He's probably just younger with faster reflexes than me

Also no idea how I ended up on the AS servers, but it looks like I'd played a few games on there. Lag probably played into it.

Been playing this on iOS tonight and it absolutely ***** on the Xbox version. Frame rate, textures, aiming - all better. And that’s with a touchscreen too.

Really

I struggle spot enemies on a 55" 4k screen, god knows how i'd see anyone on 5.5" screen with my thumbs covering about 1/4 of it!

Think i'll stick with the inferior console edition
