Couldn't tell from where we were in the away end but nobody around me knew why it was given.

Bit nervy at the start of the second half but settled down at 3 0 nil ( straight after what looked like a late clearance by us ).

Never been to the Amex before but it is a nice ground with better seats than the Kop at least - though we were very low to the pitch so made it difficult to see what was happening in the opposite penalty box.

Well that was a pure joy to watch. The team is so much better with Henderson not in it [ but he will probably start on Sunday now I have said that ]

Anyone seen any word yet on the TV picks for the FA Cup? I am sure they have usually done it by now. No doubt we will be picked - just need to know which slot we'll get. At least ITV aren't showing it this time so we shouldn't miss any goals

I think the most important issue is did the referee meet your expectations?

Yawn.

When referees make basic, result changing, mistakes then they should be pulled up on it.

But then we are talking about the the same FA who still haven't done anything about Clattenburg despite his recent admissions to being, effectively, a corruptible cheat of a referee whilst he worked for them.

Pretty sure last night's ref is on the list for the World Cup unlike any of the English ones. I wonder why that might be

LOL ... nothing dodgy about last night's penalty award at all. And compared to Brighton's , on Saturday, it was practically GBH

To answer my own question ... all major media outlets are now running with the game being live on the BBC @ 7:55pm on the Friday night

Bloody typical ... the predicted blizzards for Liverpool didn't happen but did happen down south blocking the M40 completely at one point so we had to turn back

Dodgy stream it is roday

Lovren you **** for giving the ref a decision to make ... but let's see whether the FA have the balls to retrospectively ban an English player cos that was just as much a penalty as the Niasse one

Everton where *****. Soft penalty. Mane was pony, why sub Salah and leave mane on?

More points dropped again.

I’m not sure he did much wrong other than have his hands up. Call out the Everton player for cheating. It doesn’t help when ex pro pundits legitimise the cheating by constantly blaming defenders rather than the divers.

Oh Calvert Lewin definitely cheated - it is just a shame that (a) he will get away with it cos he is English and (b) he, and Mane's non pass, cost us 2 points.

There is an interesting discussion on Twitter at the moment about whether a stronge/better ref would have given the penalty. The theory being there is no way Pawson refs the Merseyside derby if Oliver - arguably the best ref in the league ATM - is available [ though Atkinson was the 4th official at Anfield today ]. And Oliver wasn't available because the Manchester derby has been miraculously been scheduled on the same day .... again.

Nobody really wants Super Sunday's - and I can't see they are better for Sky - and it just means the big games suffer from poor officiating.

What do you mean no-one wants Super Sunday? I rarely sit down and watch 2 matches in a day, but did today because it’s two great derbies (aside from the result!), cracking line up this afternoon.

Says a lot about us that we failed to beat probably the worst Everton side I've ever seen, dodgy penalty or not.ive said it before,a midfield of Henderson and Milner is asking for trouble.
