I'm going to Mastodon in Brixton on Sunday. Will be taking my daughter along as well. It will be her first ever gig.

Yeah I looked them up. Not a fan of just instrumental music but they seem pretty good.

Hood, that's a damn fine first gig for your daughter

Going by last night, you are both in for a treat. All 3 bands were amazing.

Not been to a gig in ages, but decided I really had to see Half Man Half Biscuit so it's 150 miles up the M5 to Bilston next week

Saw Slowdive at uni for some reason in a venue only 'members' could get in - some kids had come from Scotland and they wouldn't let them in. I signed them in -had a few funny looks, but they were never going to be a risk...

Saw Shake the Chains, Sunday night - was a last minute thing, but an interesting night (allegedly last night they are playing, but I suspect not) interesting folk-y night
