It's on the pile to read, I'll do so when I've read my current book.

Good to hear. I'll apologise in advance for two grammatical errors in the text!

Thanks a lot - I appreciate it, and I hope you enjoy it.
When they open the "Monkey Arkwright" ride at Universal Studios in 20 years, you can say you were right there from the start!

End of year report; sales, targets, cliff-top villas, a plea for reviews and some exciting news.

Yes, will do. Thanks.

Funny, I was at Barcelona Airport the other day and what book should be staring up at me from the display pile? It was only Ken Follett and one of his Kingsbridge books! It made me think of you.

Aye that was the one, someone lent me their copy to read before they read it (as I bought the last one) so I had to rush

Remind me when it's free and I'll stick some Tweets up
I've not heard of BookRunes, so I'll be interested to see how you get on.
Good luck with the promotion!

There was a guy on the BooksGoSocial collaboration group that said he'd had a great result with them IIRC. I thought $25 was worth a shot.

As you probably know, it's a hard slog trying to get reviews. I'm in awe of your 28 reviews on Amazon - if you've got any more tips to pass on, I'm all ears.

I'll post an update the day before the promotion starts.

One tip I have for free promos is to put the price to 0.99 for a few days afterwards. For anyone interested in the freebie but missed it, that's a 'oh well, sod it I'll buy it anyway' price point. I sold more after a BookBarbarian promo that way than any other time.
This was, however, only having 1 or 2 free days at a time, so mileage may vary.

For reviews from promos, about 0.5% download:review hit rate is often banded about, but it really depends who downloads it.

I've set at permanently at 0.99 now anyway - I'm more interested in sales than income.

Cheers - first chapter's one of my favourites so it might be all down hill from there! But hopefully not.

Just finished it. Loved it!

I didn't really read any spoilers beforehand so was going in cold, was really impressed with how it built up and really wasn't expecting it to turn out how it did. Looking forward to future ones.

I left an Amazon review

I didn't really notice any mistakes in it, that's fairly unusual!
