I thought it was going to be a spin-off of Agents of Shield. This looks like it's in a different universe.

When I watched the trailer yesterday on Facebook, it was one of the first Marvel trailers I thought looked really naff.

Apparently this is from the guy who did Netflix's Iron Fist. That news alone was enough to make me wary of this.

Looks decidedly average.

Can someone explain the point of shooting a TV show with IMAX cameras?

I get they're showing the first episode in cinemas, but it seems like a huge waste of money, not to mention how unwieldy they are to use.

& how can it be 'debuting' in cinemas & 'premiering' on TV? It's one or the other folks, pick one!

I guess it means: 'debuting' in cinemas and then 'premiering on TV' on abc.

TBH I think Anson Mount would have to seriously let himself go to look like a regular Jim Caviezel. He's always been pretty lean, although it is pretty weird seeing him without the beard and short hair!

The Imax cameras should really capture the majesty of all that grey concrete.

Still Lockjaw looked OK. The rest...

"For the first time ever....."

"...No compromise was made on building character... developing a coherent plot... working tirelessly to say something important in a concise, well written exploration of the (INhuman) experience"

OH no... my bad, I read that wrong.

"...IMAXXXXX!!!!! ACTINGGGG!!! CGI DOGGGGGGG!!!!"

New trailer

Slightly more promising, but the CGI looks woeful, especially Medusa's hair

WOW! ... I knew this looked bad but I had no idea just how appalling this is. It's so awful, it makes Iron Fist look great. On every level, it is dreadful, especially the dialogue & the acting. The lass that plays Crystal clearly only got the role because she looks cute as her acting is embarrassing.

This could be the first Marvel live-action show that I stop watching.... but I've got to watch the next to see if it's possible to keep this level of ineptitude alive...

After 2 eps this seems pretty naff - I'll probably end up watching it until it gets canned though!

I actually struggled to pay that much attention to it, but it's clear that the main good guy is a silent dictator who sends most of his subjects to a life of hell in "the mines" - and it takes his evil genius brother to usurp him! In any other story Maximus would be the hero, liberating the enslaved masses.
And the king and queen have pretty naff powers - don't really know much about the comics but they're obviously tied in to them - but one can't use his in case he kills anyone and the other can move her hair, so watch out anyone within a metre or so in case you might get tangled up... her enemies have guns FFS!

The best thing about it is probably Ken Leung; cynical and badass with his own HUD

I'm enjoying it so far. Much better than Agents of SHIELD.

It's all personal opinion, so you can't be right or wrong. You're wrong though.

It's undoubtedly no better and no worse than Agents of SHIELD was at this stage in the show. Shield took nearly two seasons to get going.

Honestly I don't know how I made it through season one of Agents of SHIELD tbh and it did take me about two years to force myself through it. Not sure if I'll the strength to do the same with Inhumans, especially considering it's bombed critically and that 2nd season seems highly improbable at the moment.

Gave it one episode, that's enough for me.

Agents of Shield did have a rough start. But the last couple of seasons have been hugely entertaining. Really glad I stuck that one out.
