Yeah, that didn't look good, although it did look like his hands went up before the camera panned away and then back.

On goal celebrations..... doesn't Firminho have magnificent teeth!

Our new weakness is our seeming inability to kill games off .since opening day the result has been in doubt till the final whistle.we should have won by 4 tonight such was our superiority.

On the other hand ...

6th game in a row we have led at the break and 6th time in a row we have kept that lead at full time. Also 6th game in a row where we have never been behind

Yes we’ve won those games but a number have been at an unnecessary risk, take Spurs as a case in point. Should have been 5-0. Have to be more ruthless.

True but hopefully that come good.

Watching the highlights and trying to work out how (a) Cavani isn't flagged offside ( for PSG's first ) when Mane was on Saturday and (b) how Salah's goal was ruled out; both the ref and lino indicated a goal and the foul on the keeper, by Sturridge, was not the reason why Salah was able to score ie the keeper had already fumbled the ball before Sturridge touched him ?

Great win for Liverpool. I think the Salah disallowed goal was right, sure Sturridge got some of the ball, but think it was just about dangerous and so a foul.

Without taking anything away from Liverpool, what on Earth were PSG doing? Mbappé, Di Maria and Neymar (especially), do nothing for the team without the ball - I think most PL teams would have beaten them on that performance, they have such a poor attitude. On another day Liverpool would have won by a lot more.

Cavani was offside but we've had a few go.our way this season ,Mane was 3 yards offside opening game of the season and we also got away with a clear penalty Saturday. We also got the Salah pen at Palace, I'm sure a lot of refs wouldn't have given it.swings and roundabouts, easy to say when winning though.

So ... are we expecting a changed team for Southampton or for Chelsea in the League Cup ? Or neither ?

My son is hoping it is the latter seeing as Saturday is his first game this season. I am kind of hoping so too

Klopp will likely play his strongest team against Southampton, Salah needs to play his way back towards some form. Fabinho ,Shaquiri,Clyne, Matip, Solanke,Sturridge,Origi in the league cup.Keita may get back in Saturday, not sure who for though.

I can't see Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Salah or Firmino playing against Chelsea in the league cup.

Can anyone remember what sort of team he put out at Leicester last season ? Though we had a much worse start in the League last season - taking another 5 games to get to 15 points compared to this year.
