I thought Sanchez was the marquee signing that would fix everything?

Sanchez is the key to getting better players. I have said time & time again we need a better midfield & defence. Pogba is his normal waste of space & as for Lukaka????

You can't criticise Lukaka, yes he's been anonymous but the midfield are non existent and we're dwelling in possession for far too long. Another game where Jesse is giving his all but it's not matched by others around him.

edit: case in point. Pogba a total passenger tonight.

No Rashford, no chance. Martial is another waste of space. Rarely passes to a team mate when they are in a good position.

What the heck happened there with Fellani? Subbed on then about 5 minutes later subbed off again?

Could be worse, we could be playing Bournemouth. At home.

We're all over the place tonight. Really can't explain it. Spurs have been good on and off the ball, but they're hardly tearing up daisies. Loads of really simple things not getting done and we're not working hard.

edit: nothing to add to any of that. We were just not at the races. City will have this won by the end of February and a United team of old would have been embarrassed by that.

The only draw Sanchez will have for better players is that you're now a club that'll pay massive wages no matter how badly you play.

If we pay massive wages, then don't we pay anything but badly?

I didn't realise basic salary was performance related.

Did Leicester pay the highest salaries when they won the league?

Nope, but they had the right manager (at the time) and the right group of players whilst every other club just couldn't get it together.

Being a club so desperate to get back their former glory they will pay anything, attracts the wrong sort of talent

Is Sanchez wrong for United?

Massively overpaid whichever way people on here want to spin it, but he isn't such top draw talent that he's worth what you've paid. But it is guaranteed to attract the "one last pay day" and the "move there and then worm my way to PSG because neither Real or Barcelona want me" players.

Overpaid in real world terms, sure, but it remains to be seen if that's the case in the PL.

Arguably, we've always been able to afford and attract those kind of players (although before PSG were a major player). It's the side-effect of the BT money; arguably teams like Swansea, Everton, Stoke, West Brom have all attracted players who they would have been able to attract before.

Thanks for that, was just thinking that Giroud was a better signing than Crouch or Carroll and feeling positive then checked the score 3-0 loss at home. Not good!

Second time Bournemouth have beat you at home, I believe.
