Does Amazon still do that thing where you get a free voucher for digital stuff if you choose slow postage with prime?

It's pretty handy, the slow delivery keeps me in Kindle books for the mostpart.

Wouldn't the Kindle Lending Library do that anyway?

How exactly does that work? Ive chosen slower delivery a fair few times now but I cant see what discount I've accumilated? Does it automatically just deduct from a digital book / film etc?

Here's a possibly daft question - but if I was to sign up to this, would my missus be able to use the kindle lending library? Or is it tied to my account?

I have no use for it - I've unread kindle books galore - but she's a voracious reader and would make the most of it.

Have a look here, by what I could make out the answer is yes:

Yes you can share your benefits with one family member who you'd trust with your bank details, used to be you could split it four ways for shipping only, but now you both share all the benefits.

I just went for it thanks. Strange tho I got a message saying welcome to prime, with your30 day free trial you can etc etc.

Am I signed up fully? Do you get a free trial then it bills at £59 or £79??

Yeah I was a bit confused by that as well.

Managed to find a My Prime section on the site that gave me a receipt for £59 and a renewal date of 15/11/2016 at £79.

So no 30 day trial (they took payment immediately) but worth it.

Depends if you actually have a Kindle. I read on my phone, and the lending library can't be used for that

I'm on months free trial and seems I now can't take up this offer which is a shame.
