Do you need to watch Jessica Jones before you watch S2 of this?

I watched all of S1 and thought it was decent, certainly kept me going back to the end. I haven't got around to JJ yet, looks good but never had the time, so much other stuff I'm already watching. Wouldn't mind getting straight back into Daredevil though...

This is the problem with Marvel stuff, there's so much of it sometimes it feels like a job organising the time to watch it all! Often, to me, it feels like if you don't keep up with all the threads later stuff becomes much harder to follow. Even the Avenger films have too many nods to the various spin off TV shows.

True, but it feels a bit more brutal to me from these first few episodes this season.

Seen the first 3 now. Magnificent.

Don't think it's significantly more brutal than season one, but it's every bit as good and maybe better. Jon Bernthal absolutely nailing it so far... Kind of wish it was a Punisher series with Daredevil guesting lol.

They have to make a Punisher series/movie now.

Not that I've seen so far, there is a nod to JJ and vice versa with one character but nothing significant yet

Finished season 2 today. Really looking forward to season 3, there is one cameo from a character from Jessica Jones in a later episode. I'm sure there will be carping about some elements but I do feel they upped the action this season and I feel that anything with shedloads of Ninjas can't be too bad. Will have to go back and watch season 1 again sometime soon. Also there's a teaser for Luke Cage available at the end of the 13th episode.

I've only just finished ep1 (stunned how some have watched it all already!) and really enjoyed it. Might get another 2 watched tonight.

Currently half way through season one for the first time and really enjoying it. Had seen Jessica Jones previously.

Good to see Rosario with a bigger role in this and although I'm up to episode 6 now, I'm wondering when the red suit is going to make a appearance.

Also, the car door slamming scene!

Yeah, the
bugged me too. They could have still done the same effect by just not having it pointed at his head as the hammer click should only be for Matt as he inferred. I find it strange they go to so much effort and yet don't quite get what the Punisher is all about.

Is it better or worse than Season 1? I dunno, the bar was so high. But the first 4 eps blew me away. The end of 3 was stunning. All of 4 was brilliant. Not sure I breathed during it. Everyone's at the top of their game. Once more, like Season 1, I almost don't want to watch it because if I do it will all be over.

I've got two left. Episode 9 is one of the best hours of tv that I've seen in ages. The Punisher needs his own series.

Elektra can get in the bin though. Terrible story arc.
