It requires an iThing (Pad,Pod, Phone) to work, but the results are noticeable and greatly improve sound output.

I haven't had the update despite receiving an email a couple of days ago saying it was now available.

Had ours for awhile now and it really is a great product. Got a connect wired into main AV system, a 5 and a couple of 1's about the house. All cd's ripped and on networked HDD for access anywhere in house from any of our idevices or main pc.

Only issue we have is down to my foscam wireless cameras interfering when it is recording to the blue iris software on pc. kills wireless for sonos with constant stuttering etc.
Luckily times of overlap are limited as shut blue iris down if we are in the house and consequently want to use the sonos.

I presume you've tried changing the channel sonos uses so it's different to that or your wireless network?

Are you using a bridge?

Yes, I have a sonos connect on ethernet with rest of AV kit under the TV. Might give the new "boost" box a try...

Yes. Problem is both the foscam cameras and sonos utilise the 2G bandwidth. They are already set to different channels. 5G side of things not an issue with other devices that support it. Also it doesn't become an issue until the blue iris dvr software is running and recording the video streams from the cameras (8 in total). As said luckily not very often both are running at the same time so can work around it (the cameras are always on but it just becomes an issue when the streams are recordig to the pc with blue iris installed on it). If sonos could take advantage of the 5GHz in normal mode it would also not be an issue.

The issue of foscam and sonos has cropped up elsewhere on the internet so I am not the only one!

The connect isnt a bridge.

The boost will solve your problem for certain though.

The first component I had was a connect so I had no need to purchase a bridge, only additional speakers. I am ware of the differences.

Thanks I've done that and was able to get true play in my bedroom. However there's no option for true play under the room setting for my living room, which consists of a playbar, 2 X play1s and a sub. Guess there should be?

Cool -- even a basic bridge will solve your issue.

As mentioned already in the streaming thread, Apple Music is coming to Sonos in beta on 15th December.

http://blog.sonos.com/news/sonos-welcomes-apple-music

Seems they are opening up the betas to everyone now and you can sign up from your app - in the past they were much tighter with beta testing and made everyone agree to an NDA. I've done the last few and enjoyed being part of it and getting the new features earlier, despite the occasions hiccup and having to log issues.

I really hope it's a complete integration; all the thumbs up/thumbs down options, collections, playlists and all radio options easily available (unlike Spotify, which has taken a few years to be improved and still doesn't have the thumbs up/favourite options).

I'd really like to be able to cast directly from the Apple Music app on my mobile device too, in the way you can with Google Music from an Android device straight to Sonos, but I'm not holding my breath on that one with iOS being as tightly limited as it is, but it would be a great bonus.

Interested to know what you think.
For Christmas I have a Play3 that's come from John Lewis outlet for a bargain price (the box was unopened but torn!).
