Actually, someone might be able to advise me here.

I've recommended Sonos to my sister, but I want to check how it works.

They have their router upstairs in a corner of the house, so the wireless range reaches the kitchen, but not the conservatory. If they had one Sonos in the kitchen (in range) and one in the conservatory (out of range) do Sonos' piggyback on to each other? I'm sure recall about them using their own wireless connection (and can see a channel selector in the app), but I thought it best to check.

That would be the furthest one, if they did buy any more in the future they'd all be nearer to the router anyway.

I think if you hardwire at least one into the router then they 'extend' to each other. It creates a 'SonosZ' subnetwork, or something.

Ah, ok, so they'd need one of them wired for others beyond the main routers' reach to work. Thanks

Apple Music likely to be on Sonos "by the end of the year";
http://www.engadget.com/2015/06/28/a...sonos-support/

With Google Music pretty much perfected on Sonos, Rdio and Deeer very well integrated and Spotify finally having good usability it'll be interesting to see how quickly they do this, and how well.

I hope they go nowhere near Sonos.

I'm happy with it as it is, giving good support to all services, platforms, etc

Does anyone have a Sonos player with a free deezer year sub (Dec 2014 promotion)

All worked perfect since had to reset my sonos player the weekend. Wifi kept dropping out and needed to reset everything on my network so all SSID were reset etc.

When adding everything to my sonos account again cannot seem to add it back on and there is a connection issue. Looking online looks like the have upgraded the deezer+ service and replaced it with deezer elite and you now need the elite version to work with sonos. I have over 6 months of my sub remaining.

Before contacting deezer (takes around a week for a reply) just wondering any help on this. Thanks

Have you logged it with sonos support? They're usually very responsive and may be able to help

Good you got it sorted. Sonos' support it excellent, very responsive. I've had a fair few dealings with them whilst on the beta and they always reply quickly.

A lot of other companies could take note.... the likes of Apple, Google, etc make it so difficult to contact anyone for help or log an issue and don't give any options for logging feature request, etc (of course, they always know best...! )

Had an email back within 2 hours saying it was being looked into. Then another email4 hours later saying all up and running. Then today another email saying you hope the service you received was good and have now made improvements to the servers with Deezer hoping this will not happen again.

which is the better of the 3 to subscribe too Spotify, Deezer or Google play?

Personally I think Google Music has the very best Sonos integration - lots of mood, genre, curated playlists, artist radio (where you it'll play tracks based on the artist), plus it has the 50,000 user uploads, so you fill in all the gaps that isn't on All Access with that.

The Sonos integration has recently been given a big overhaul. Before that it was frankly *****, but now it's much better and you can get most of the options Spotify gives you.

Spotify also doesn't have any user upload options, so you do get gaps (depending on your tastes, etc), but Spotify in general has the best 'social' stuff (Google's is rubbish).

I've not tried Apple Music yet, but I'm hoping when it does make it on to Sonos it's done properly and not half-arsed.

They all have free trials so worth trying them all. Rdio is very good as well, but nowhere near as popular.

My deezer is fine.

Will be interesting to see what Apple music is like but, I won't be able to use it, I guess. All my devices, bar the Mrs phone and the iMac are android. So that, I guess, rules that out?

Could we see the Apple music app on Android Sonos?

Yep, I think it'll be the first time Apple have actually made a product for Android. Beats is already excellent on Android so at least they have that to build it on. Hopefully they'll also allow streaming from the music match thing as well (on Android and Sonos). I just hope they do a good job and not a half-arsed one to encourage people to use iOS, etc.

Supposedly Android by 'fall' and Sonos by the end of the year.

If anyone is thinking of buying one of those cheaper Sonos' from Europe, Sonos have annonced they are increasing the prices for Euro countries from the 31st July, so get them before they go up;

http://blog.sonos.com/news/changes-t...opean-pricing/

Not sure if the UK prices will change in the future. I guess it's good that they're giving prior notice and not just hoiking them up and then announcing it.

I need a sub. Wonder if I should just order now form Europe. Doubt there'll be a final drop before the price hike.
