Mine's been dispatched, just waiting for my bank account to update so I can see exactly what it cost, about £500 looks to have come out.

Loving my pair of play 1s, knocks spots off my Bose soundlink. The problem is I now want more. Fancy a sound bar too but my old Panasonic 50" hd ready TV hasn't got optical in it so I'd need a new TV too. Expensive business so I'll make it a long term project.

Whilst you'd miss out on the surround sound, you could make this work using one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ex-Pro®-Anal...rca+to+optical

I actually do this in reverse to get my paired play:5s to accept the optical output of my bedroom telly.

The bad news is my TV didnt have an optical either but i got one working.

Optical out from my PS4 and Youview box into a manual £5 optical switch and then from the switch into the soundbar, you know you want to.....

I have just upgraded my LG 50" plasma to a 60" LED because of the audio lag suffered when I connected my playbar. To be honest I was looking get a bigger screen at some point anyway, but it shows that technology waits for no man! Luckily the new TV has inbuilt audio sync capabilities that will cure the problem, and yes I already got excellent help from Sonos on this matter but it was down to the TV and not the playbar.

Interesting do you have a link to such a switch please? So could I connect the bar to my ps4/sky box?

Play 1's back on at Amazon.es for €159, one per 'customer'.

Works out about £123 delivered.

This is what i was using until i got my new TV a couple of weeks back:

http://www.cables2u.co.uk/into-tosli...FuXhoCYcrw_wcB

they are cheap and cheerful and people complain about them not lasting long when i did my research but i never had any issues.

Yep, if you have an optical out on something, pop it into the switch and then from the switch to the playbar. It is a bit of a pain switching manually when you change sources, but for £7 you cant go wrong. if you want a automatic version then youre looking at £200:

You do know the playbar has audio delay/sync capability under the settings menu, so you didnt need a new tv......

Ive been having worsening problems with not being able to connect to my sonos from any control system over the last few months. finally had enough of the problem and posted on sonos and it appears that its the power supply to the bridge causing the problem. I had a spare bridge so plugged in the spare supply and hey presto, problem fix.

Issue is related to a voltage drop on the power supply as it ages. worth remembering.

You shouldn't need the bridge anymore should you? Unless you need it in a position to extend to speakers outside the normal local LAN. Having said that, I still have mine connected. Might see how it goes with removing it... waiting for my Philips Hue set to arrive and these hubs and devices are building up! I currently have over 25 devices connected to my LAN!

Unfortunately the sync issue is the opposite to that which some people experience, in that the audio is behind the video; a problem that can only be resolved by adjustment within the TV itself. I have had a lengthy phone call with LG and a lot of very helpful support from Barry at Sonos, and it ultimately came down to new vs old technology and an inability to close the gap.

My new smart TV however, has two-way audio syncing which will finally cure the problem.

It is much cheaper from .ES but can I just order a UK power lead as well, i.e. is there no other voltage issue ?

Did you receive any despatch notification? I haven't heard anything yet and I placed my order on Monday.
