Nintendo are finally gonna be making mobile games!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-31923811

They're not going to port any existing games but they could create new, mobile specific, Mario games and such like. I want Fire Emblem!

I was tempted with the turn-based strategy game Frozen Synapse Prime on the Vita for £12, but then I noticed it's on Android for £2.99!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ensynapseprime

Fans of XCOM look in.

Yeah, I've got it, it's good. I talked about it somewhere - but clearly a different thread to this one! Might have been the £3 off google play with paypal thread actually...

The Vita game (Prime) is a cut-down simplified version of Frozen Synapse. Both games are on android. But I would recommend the Prime version. As awesome as FS is, it's quite complicated to play on the go!

There's a thread on the original game here: http://forums.thedigitalfix.com/foru...d.php?t=602945

Hope Frozen Cortex gets put on Android! It's amazing. And also simpler than FS.

Been a while since I posted here. Here's the games I've added to my collection since. Mostly strategy so probably not of interest to most people.

Warhammer Quest ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - based on the board game. Very similar to Advanced Hero Quest

Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - a squad tactical game

PAC-MAN CE DX ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - not much to say. It's PAC-MAN

the Sequence ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - logic puzzle game. Reminds me a bit of Space Chem. But easier. Which is probably a good thing!

R√©publique ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - awesome stealth game where you've sort of hacked into a buildings security, helping a woman escape.

Battleheart Legacy ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - the sequel to Battleheart. A much more rounded game than its predecessor.

RAVENMARK: Mercenaries ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - strategy wargame thing. I mostly grabbed this to demo the upcoming Steam release from the same series. Some pretty unique mechanics.

Tiny Troopers 2: Special Ops ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - sequel to the Cannon Fodder like game. Quite a lot better than the first one.

Fearless Fantasy ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - pretty neat paper mario style turn-based RPG battles but actually designed for a touch screen. Needs you to press things on screen or make gestures at appropriate times for optimal damage/blocking.

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS : WotL ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - the legend! With a price to match.

SPACECOM ‚€“ Android Apps on Google Play - sort of like Galcon but much more to it.

Thanks for that, I was looking to something to replace PvZ2 on my commute. You can only play endless-mode for so long.
Gone for Warhammer Quest for a change.

If you mean via notifications (I've not had chance to play it yet so I don't know) then settings -> apps, click app, disable notifications

[edit]
Now I have actually run it and it even asks you on first run if you want to receive them? It doesn't get much easier to avoid nagging

[edit 2]
Not sure what's so special about the game itself mind you.

It really isn't much fun. Its just the same old pay to speed the game up type structure which is a shame as I love the idea and graphic style. But tapping the screen every 5 minutes not my idea of fun. I would rather pay £5 - £10 for a fun game that I could finish in a few hours.

Sim Tower (from the 90's?), that did this properly!!
