Incredible. Hard to believe the man was dying when he knocked that out.

Thanks for posting that, and happy birthday to Fred for yesterday

Amazing Thanks for posting - it's probably my favourite song ever and it is fantastic to hear like that

It still annoys me that we haven't heard a proper surround sound/DTS mix of the song (which would be on Greatest Video Hits 3 if such a thing existed) - when you think how good some of the mixes on the first two releases were, then I can only dream what they'd could do with TSMGO in that format.

I remember when I first saw the track-list for GVH 2 - I was leaning back in my chair with my foot supporting me on my desk, and when I realised the Innuendo songs weren't part of the list I was shocked enough that my foot slipped-off the desk and I vaulted forward and ended-up on the floor Even so, I wouldn't have guessed that 10 years later I'd still waiting for the DTS mixes of those Innuendo tracks

The first "new" Queen album in nearly 20 years on the way?

From 1:25 onwards.

"Made In Heaven 2" (sic) would certainly be far better than The Cosmos Rocks

Roger Taylor's discography - £105 for 13 discs

Though TBF, some of Roger's solo/Cross stuff wasn't bad but I am not sure I'd spend that much on the 'the lot' considering I have all the 3 Cross CD's and a couple of his solo CDs already.

Re: Queen album "deluxe" editions announced

So the SAS band are playing G Live next month. The lineup is ... the original lineup of The Cross including Roger Taylor. Question is, will it be an SAS concert or a Cross one ?

I was very tempted to go this but tickets sold out too quick. I saw the SAS Band there last year and they're good fun. Having Roger involved will make this excellent, and although it's being touted as a Cross reunion I wouldn't expect to hear too many of their songs.

Also, I REALLY want that new Roger box set!

That's what I am hoping - seeing as (a) tickets are sold out and I haven't got one and (b) I am going to football anyway, I realise, that day.

I read there was going to be about 30 minutes of Cross stuff, the rest is the usual SAS gig.

For a lot of the ***** solo stuff Taylor has done, a lot of the Cross stuff was really good.

I remember buying the tape version of the Shove It album mainly because it was, at the time, the only way you could hear Mercury on lead vocals for Heaven For Everyone. But all their other albums had some great tracks on as well. Heck, I can even remember seeing them peform live in a marquee at the Gosport Music Festival Can't believe it is 21 years since they formed.

Blue Rock is a great album, and the second side of Mad Bad too.

I also think his later solo stuff has some great stuff on it. Electric Fire is a good album.

Blue Rock is great [ even from the very beginning "broadsword calling danny boy ..." ] as is Mad Bad. TBH it's been a while since I listened to any of the Fun In Space era stuff but Foreign Sand and Happiness are great though Nazis is a bit in a "what made you write that??" sort of way.

Fun In Space is a superb album, one of those that I always listen to beginning to end without skipping any tracks. I'm less familiar with his other solo albums, although Electric Fire had a few good songs. Love the rock mix of Nazis 1994 too.

Saw the Queen Extravaganza earlier on in the month. For an 'official' tribute band they were excellent. The lead singer, Marc Martel sounded very much like Freddie Mercury although wasn't sure about the woman in the band singing some of the songs.

Yep, love Fun in Space. Been listening to it a lot lately. Saw The Cross play Cardiff back in 1988, pretty sure they did a storming version of 'Let's get crazy' from that album. Was great to hear 'I'm in love with my car' live too. Was there a two drum setup on that tour? I've got a vague recollection of Roger and Josh Macrae having a drum-off It's been 25years and it's all getting hazy!

Roger had a 'drum off' on his Electric Fire tour. Remember watching them in Liverpool, standing next to Spike Edney.

Does anyone have the boxset on order? I'm tempted to go for it but at £100 it's a bit on the steep side for me at the moment. A few early reports on other fan sites that there are massive mastering errors on the CDs and the booklet is full of typos. It's also out-of-stock on Amazon, so I'm going to hold off for the time being and see what happens.

Interested to hear his new album though - even though Brian May is much more 'Queen' in his solo stuff, it is Roger who has the albums that I want to revisit. He writes a great melody.

Roger Taylor "The Lot" and "Fun On Earth" is up on Spotify, in their entirety.

Nice. Just saved £100.
