lol yeah, i did think that was daft, but i didn't think it could really be anyone else. Loved CM Punk's comment about how he was glad he didn't bring VG back out

Any ideas who CM Punk was talking about when he said he wanted revenge? It should be Vinny Mac for sacking his friends from SES!

Also unintentionally funny moment of the night when you can see the cogs in Kelly Kelly's head stuttering into life as she tries to remember her lines, and the Tyson Kidd making fun of her by mocking the fact she's meant to be "smart, sexy and powerful" and gets the catchphrase wrong.. "strong, sexy and powerful"

Not sure. Was he injuired at a House Show? It could be the person he was fighting that night?

Or it could just be a plant for when he is ready to come back. Could be anyone that's not feuding with anyone at the time!

lol yeah, probably not even decided yet, i think the same goes for the RAW gm, that'll just turn out to be whoever's convenient..

Before he got injured he was meant to be starting a fued with Daniel Bryan. Can't really see how that will work though, will it be a fight to see which one of them is more straight edge?

As for an overreaction in this thread, you've obviously never told anyone that you think Lost was a load of crap. This thread is tame in comparison

.....anyway, now that member number 55 (lol) has got the festive trolling off his chest....back to the thread....

Re Edge and Christian, I think it's all down to how many hours they have to fill these days. 20 years ago, they could stretch a feud out for 6-12 months. These days they move on much quicker due to the need for change becoming a necessity. They used to explain the alliances of enemies much better back then, though.

looks like a pretty busy WWE schedule early next week. Raw on Monday, Smackdown on Tuesday, Tribute to the Troops on Wednesday. They're airing Smackdown live instead of putting it on Friday due to Xmas. Not sure if airing TTTT next week will confuse storylines as it was held a week ago.

Shame as his feud with CM Punk looked promising

they just don't have much luck with injuries! Didn't CM Punk get injured just before a fued he was about to start? I expect Cena will still turn up on Raw and get beaten up by Nexus, he just won't wrestle.. Orton got an apparently quite bad knee injury before his title match that the Miz interrupted to win the title, but he's not had any time off tv, and before that, he dislocated his shoulder in a match and was expected to be out for a while and was back the next week!

Punk was going to fued with Daniel Bryan iirc....

You'll notice that there's a link to YouTube on that wwe.com link and I saw this message posted by someone on it that made me chuckle:

Quote:
Hilarious that WWE insists that no one videotape their shows, but then links to a fan-recorded video on their own website.
True... very true....

someone should post something about TNA and see how long it is before WWE deletes the link off their site

Still, they have the perfect reason to keep Cena off screen for a couple of weeks cos he took another Nexus beating. I'm amazed that storyline is still going on though, surely they should have turned their attentions elsewhere after the last PPV? It's freshened it up a bit having CM Punk involved but i still think it's been going on too long. Their whole raison d'etre was going after the top guy in the company, and that's blatantly been Orton for the past year..

I don't like Cena but agree that this feud with Punk looked promising...

Punk seems more over than ever, maybe time to turn him face? Could easily get Nexus to double-cross and get Barrett involved somehow.

I guess Punk is always better as a cocky heel though.

Punk is actually a lot like The Rock was when he started out. They made him a face and the fans crapped on him. Then after a heel turn and some great promos, he was ready to turn back (Austin was the same).

I would still keep Punk as a heel though. Like Edge, you can turn them for a short while, but they are just too natural at being villains.

There is no reason why Punk can't go on to be another Jericho, ie one of the most over and best wrestlers ever but not necessarily regarded as a top 5 of all time...

I'd argue that Punk in most aspects is already at Jericho's level.

But Jericho's wins over Austin and Rock was only done so that neither of them had to lose to Triple H at WM

Hmmmm I disagree

"First ever Undisputed Champ" is a great moniker. Vince must've thought long and hard about that.

Based on the various autobiographies of people who've worked for him (JJ Dillon and Bill Watts are two that come to mind from a booking perspective - the former is a superb book), the general consensus is that Vince doesn't give anything much thought before coming up with a spur of the moment decision (and then changing his mind just before they're about to go with it).

Talking of Jericho, I bought his book earlier. I'd got a gift voucher for Waterstones a few weeks ago for my birthday and finally got round to using it. Got that one and Foley's new one too.

Both should be worth a read.
