They are trying to get him back but apparantly Rosenbaum is busy right now.I think if they get a 10th season he will reappear. That said I think Tess has been a great character addition.

Season has been pretty decent so far and the ep descriptions for the up coming eps sound good also.

This is turning out to be a good season and we still haven't had the scene with Clark standing on the Statue of Liberty and either flying up or landing very hard (assuming that will be an end of season biggie).
Wasn't that in the first episode?

Really good episode IMO.

They have conjured a pretty decent story involving Zod and Jor-El and the scenes on Krypton were very well done, the score through out the episode was also very good and gave it a movie feel.

One thing I have noticed since Gough and Miller left as producers at the end of season 7 is now the writer's will tie up action's from previous episodes. One of Smallville's weaness's previously was how things would happen then were never mentioned again ..for instance Alicia dying then never being mentioned again.

Yet another lame excuse to write out Lois for a few episodes... have to agree that generally the season has been an improvement over the last one though. It is amusing that Batman and Wonder Woman aside, just about the only DC Universe character we haven't seen yet is... um, Superman. This "blur" business is all a bit low-rent and rubbish in comparison really.

The irony is of course, that ratings would probably skyrocket (for a season at least ) if they had the balls to go Super.

Lois is back next episode. She isn't in every episode as they literally can't afford to have her in every episode the budget on Smallville is not what it was in the early days on the Wb network.

There is no Superman for the same reason there is no Wonder Woman or Batman as far as I now ,they are not allowed to use those character's due to the movie division having movies on the go ,Green Lantern is another I doubt we will see for that reason also.

At the time ''Superman Returns '' was in production for instance they had alot of restrictions of what they could use as Wb didn't want people to be confused ...The Lois romance ,The S on the shirt has has all come recently since currently Superman movie wise is in limbo

You are right though using Superman would make the rating's go up..It does make me wonder if WB would sell the show to a bigger network then The CW as a Superman show..Lois and Clark got 15mil viewers at it's peak

Just for Roberto who likes Lois's talents

That was a good episode. Barring the two kids, it might have been the best episode of smallville for a long time. The shooting style and particularly the script had a real 1950's melodramatic "zip" to it. The score was good as well. The Lois does know.. doesn't know.. was crappy though. She basically "knew" and had it confirmed several times then Clark still had to deny it for some unknown reason. They should have been more subtle. He even revealed himself (as it were) to those kids and he didn't have to

End was good though, they're really starting to tie everything together now.

The score has been good for a while now they use alot less songs than they used too.

I liked the episode alot apart from Chloe who continues to be annoying. The Wonder twins were ok considering they are pretty cheesy characters. The effects used where pretty good.

The Justice Society episode is now going to be a 2 hour movie and they have also apparantly been given a budget increase for the epsiode

Casting Spoiler

Clark/Lois scenes once again saved this week's episode but let's forget about the Wonder Twins ... Yuck! ... what were they thinking? ... They've got a zillion DC characters to chose from & that's the best they could come up with?

I dread to think what the Justice Society episodes will contain, but obviously with regard to the above spoiler, they are not going to be consistent with the comicbooks as

They are actually called the "wonder twins"?? They couldn't come up with a different noun? Have a look at wikipedia... DC have some really crappy character names. Some of them are hilarious.

Tomorrow Woman
Elongated Man
Animal Man
Plastic Man
Menagerie
Super-Chief
Deadman
Kilowog
Man-Bat
Owlwoman
Ragman
Weather Wizard
Lightning Lad
Matter-Eater Lad
Shadow Lass

Okay I'm getting bored and there are too many stupid ones. At least now we know they could do a few dozen more seasons of smallville without needing to cough up any new ip.

If I had to sum up the start of this episode in one word then it would have to be ‘cheesy’, the whole tone screamed lightweight. However, have to admit though; it turned out to be, in my opinion, very creditable.

The old Lois finds out Clark is Superman then is convinced otherwise plot has been done to death. From the future visions it looks as though diet Zod's going to turn the sun red to create a new Krypton on earth.

Remeber Zod doesn't have his powers under a yellow sun so I am assuming by turning it red Zod etc will get thier powers whilst at the same time removing Clarks.

Totally agree, this was a really fun episode and the most enjoyment I have had from Smallville in ages. Really looking forward to the "movie", although the shot I have seen of
in costume were just hilarious.

And smallville continues to keep getting better! Probably one of my favourite non-season finales ive seen.

I'm not entirely convinced of Clark's plan to befriend Zod instead of just charging into their hideout and killing them all with his super powers.
