Amazing that we're 4 episodes in - very little seems to have happened. Jaime Lannister has had only one brief scene I think. Still gripping stuff though.

You don't watch many shows made by HBO then?

Was brilliant though.

I'm wondering if there will ever be more to Joffrey than just a sadist indulging himself?

Would like to see more direwolves (I'm a dog man). But the CGI sees to be very limited in this season - which leads me to wonder what will happen when the dragons get big (presuming they do). Maybe HBO are already saving up.

the budget does seem a bit stretched this season, I watched s1 e1 again at the weekend and scenes like Drogo and Dany's wedding seemed much more epic than anything we've seen this season.

Still loving this; not been disappointed with an episode yet. I think everyone does a great job but Peter Dinklage steals every episode he is in. Don't know about the books but for the show it seems we are not going to be seeing the battles, been at least one since the start of the series. Understandable from a budget point of view, and the machinations of the 'great and the good' make for some pretty fine viewing.

I doubt it, if he lived in the real world he'd be a shoe in for the apprentice. I hate the character with a passion and can't wait until he, hopefully, gets it in a very painful way.

Realistically the less CGI they can get away the better for me, from what i remember it's been fairly decent when they use it but might be better to play on the safe side.

The landscape where Jon Snow is definitely the star of the show for me at the moment. This series has been rather dull - slow is OK but it has to be well-written and well-acted and this hasn't been.

If you find Game of Thrones poorly written and poorly acted then you must be disappointed VERY often!

You've got to admit this season should have been a lot sharper, some characters spent entire episodes wondering around the wilderness with no plot progression or character development.

If that statement from HBO is genuine then they don't have much of a sense of humour.

I'm not sure... the majority of the cast has been great, but there have been some seriously hammy exceptions - I think the nadir was the scene with Catelyn and Brienne, when the latter swore an oath of loyalty to her - I could barely watch the scene
