FunLand

Cant see this posted yet. Does anyone know when this will start on BBC3? The adverts look pretty good, but I cant find any details on when its on on the BBC site other than Autumn.

What little I saw of this struck me as something that the commissioning editor had to ask "Is this funny or good?" and a Nathan Barley type turning round going "Yeah, 'course." but not knowing what they were talking about. Possibly.

I thought it was awful.

It could be quite a good series but the 'storyline' (if there is one) seemed to be all over the place!

too slow, and taking too long to bring out the various storythreads, so at th ened of the ep don't know if its going to be good or not as it was all set up. Did the seediness well but rarely funny (the cat was the only thing I found funny). Noticed its a by a writer of League of Gentleman.

I watched episode 1. Thought the whole thing was a total misfire myself. Shame, as I was looking forward to it.

Watched it last night and wasn't particularly impressed.

Not surprised, it reminded me of the LoG, but without the laughs
Might give it another chance, but won't hold my breath.

I must be the only one who thought it was tops. I've just finished watching the first 3 episodes and laughed out loud loads and loads, top stuff

Nearly choked when the hubby held up his mobile

I loved it too,any news on a dvd release? Great cast, and always good to see a comedy/drama taking risks and not really giving a damn.

i loved it as well, just because it's a comic drama doesn't mean you have to be rolling in the aisles with your sides splitting - although i suspect that that would have been a great scene in Funland, if taken literally.

I thought it was terrific too. Fantastic role for Judy Parfitt, awards-worthy IMO. Hope it eventually gets the attention it deserves.

Roy Barraclough's
deserve a mention -- funniest scene of the year.

Been watching this as well, and have the last few episodes (from Sunday/Monday this week) on Sky+.

Very Dark, very League of Gentlemen as people have mentioned, but some very funny moments as well.

Will catch up with it this week....looking forward to finding out who (if any of the main characters) is in the...

I loved this from start to finish. Best drama I've seen on BBC3 since Bodies I lost count of the amount of times I gasped in the last 2 episodes with all the plot twists, maybe I'm just ignorant but I couldn't see em coming Can't wait for the DVD

Really enjoyed this. Wasn't sure after the first couple of episodes, but it got more and more intriguing and the characters developed really nicely. Worked up to an excellent finale too.

Thumbs up from me
