I'm still enjoying Buzzcocks. There are moments each week that make me laugh out loud. No other programme on the 4 channels that I receive do that.

I agree that Mark L is past his best and needs replacing or giving a kick, but lets not throw the baby out with the bath water.

I didn't enjoy the first Buzzcocks of the new series, but I thought Monday's was very funny.

Absolutely.

Lamarr is an enormous ballbag but the chance of a genuine laugh is too good to pass up.

Mondays episode was as if someone had told Lamarr to stop taking the EDITED so much and join in with them for a bit.

It made it much better and was a good episode.

Please check the T&C's regarding swearing

I have to agree, Buzzcocks is still well worth it for me, as has already been said it's one of the few shows that's still able to do this for me. Bill Bailey and Phil Jupitus (sp) are hilarious, and even tho Lamarr does tend to be a bit over the top he's still more than tolerable for me. Top show.

Just caught up with it and the above quote summed it up for me as well.

I did cringe a bit at the Bailey beatings and staring at the line up guy got a bit tedious but I'll still tivo it next week!

Was pretty funny tonight. The bit at the end has left me wanting to go find somewhere which has a barbershop quartet singing.

I enjoyed last night's episode. The Wurzels and Bad Manners bits were surreal!! How much weight has Buster lost?!!

Don't believe it - I gave the heads up and then forgot about it myself! Can't see that its repeated either (as it used to be in previous series).

It's repeated next Saturday at Midnight.

I think its lost its way as well. I think Lamarr goes over the top because he cant get anyone like Marilyn anymore to come on the show so can he can mercilessly pull apart and try to get a reaction.

I don't think Phil Jupitus is as funny as he used to be either.

He's our local 'comedian' living on Leigh on Sea. Seen him a couple of times on Leigh Broadway and he always tries to laugh the loudest when sitting in the audience whenever another comic performs at the Cliff's Pavillion.

I did see him live in Basildon with his Star Wars appreciation show. Some really drunk teenager tried to give him some lip and he basically ripped into the drunk quite graphically before continuing his talk on forbidden Wookie / Ewok love.

Funny then. Now:

Is it just me or does anyone else loath the extended Lamarr bits at the expense of the actal quiz. We at home watch this as a quiz on music with funny bits in it, not the other way around...
