"All of that standard-def material could've fitted on a BD50 with plenty of room to spare"

One of the things that really grates for me is that Disc 8 is only a BD25, the only one in the set. Never mind including a 10th disc (which I doubt anyone would've complained about!), just make that a BD50 and there's plenty of room for all sorts of stuff from the DVDs.

Indeed. I couldn't add 'BD25 + BD50' to the list of disc specs, so I'll put a note in the review.

The "Archive" discs are filled with excellent stuff, but the menus are very slow and crashed my blu-ray player twice. It would have been helpful to include the prequel deleted scenes from the DVDs, to round out the rather poor selection of prequel deleted scene scraps here. The original trilogy deleted scenes are fascinating historic bits of film... but I can't help wishing they were presented in a more tidied-up way.

The last disc is an odd and mostly disappointing selection of extras. "Star Warriors" was better than I was expecting, but I still grew bored half way through and had to fast-forward to the march at the end. I hoped it would be wider in scope... but no, it really WAS a 90-minute documentary about stormtrooper cosplayers learning how to march for one single parade.

The three vintage features became tiresome -- I really shouldn't have watched them all in one sitting. The spoofs should have been cut down to 60 minutes maximum.

I can't help thinking they could have trimmed these features down enough to also fit everything essential from the DVDs -- "Empire of Dreams" on the BD25 making it a BD50, and "The Beginning", "From Puppets To Pixels" and "Within a Minute" on the last disc.
